Whats your dream watch?

Hello everyone, I would like to know which is your favorite watch or your dream watch. Mine is the 90s Cartier Tank Must Vermeil, your turn.

When someone asks what is my favorite watch, I think about what watch I would wear for the rest of my life if I could only keep one. For me it my Sinn U2.

My dream watch is the AP Royal Oak in frosted white gold. I think its around 250k and so far out of reach. It‘s the only „iced out“ I realy like.

·

Moser Vantablack. Ooh la la!

[UPDATED] My grail dress watch is the Credor Eichi II (GBLT997) because I love the combination of the Goldilocks case proportions, Grand Feu enamel porcelain dial, hand-painted hour indices, and the sublime 7R14 movement. My ultimate flex watch is the ZENITH DEFY 21 (18.9000.9004/71.M9000) because of how the skeletonized chronograph runs more louder, visually striking, and accurately than the rest while being incase in a fully rose-gold case and bracelet. My 🦄 grail is the A. Lange & Söhne ZEITWERK Minute Repeater in HONEYGOLD® (147.050F) because the grand complications of its digital jumping minutes and hours with the decimal decimal minute repeater are one of a kind.

If I had to pick only one watch it would be very tricky. I have still got quite a way to go until I figure out my taste as far as style/size/function etc.

Many watches I love to look at but as far as to actually own and wear, it’s a no go.

My pick as of now would probably be the A Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk w Date wheel in black. I saw this watch on watchfinder over a year ago and it still amazes me now.

More than anything I’m a dial guy and you’ve sold me half of the time with the beauty in a dial.

I still long to find a watch with a guilloche dial that really sits above the rest for me too. Breguet do it beautifully but there’s always something missing from their watches in my opinion. Not that I could ever afford a watch like that but I can admire and dream still right.

·

I'm not sure I have one specific grail above anything else. Probably not anything dressy. Maybe a large mechanical clock tower with intricate gears, a large counterweight system, and functional bells.

·

I really don’t know. A few years ago I would have said the Sub, but now not so much. The more I’ve learned about watches, the less I’ve been able to narrow things down. Luckily nobody’s likely to show up with a blank check to take me watch shopping, so there’s no pressure.

There is something so eye catching about this dial! 😍

·

The two I missed... I found the Orient that did cost 73 euro, just before my Canaria holiday and thought I could buy it cheaper there, as you normally could do... And when I came home again, was it gone forever...

Image

Then did I idiotically enough stop bidding on this ultra delicious titanium Citizen, just before it was sold for 140 euro...

And other "dream" watches, as following examples, are both too expensive and mechanical and I actually prefer quartz...

I love Sinn . I have the 104 and it one of my favourites for sure ! Nice choice

·

I bought my dream watch 18 months ago, a blue dial Longines HydroConquest with ceramic bezel. I would love an Odysseus but If there could be only one, I would keep my Longines..

·

I kind of have my chunky daily wear grail (see below.)

A different type of grail would be a little gold cartier tank cintree.

Best digital dial Ive ever seen 🙂 it’s a beautiful thing…..

I agree about a no date then in my mind it would also be perfection ( wc member sourced pic )

·

I have several grail-watches. But the one that would bring the most satisfaction is the blue Glashütte PanoMaticLunar.

For many years the Breguet Classique used to be my dream watch. Now it’s the Rolex 1908. Both out of reach but I can still dream. 😊

Hard for me to choose just one,but these are the main three as of late.Konstantin joker(any model),Rolex milgauss and, King seiko. I’ve been in love with these watches for a while now and i find myself looking at pictures and reviews of these watches time and time again.

As the originator (perpetrator?) of #whimsicalwednesday and a big #starwars fan, it's this:

As someone that will never achieve that, even if it were not sold out, its this Omega Speedy ref. 3594.50

Huge fan of the Zeitwerk here as well! Just the striking time version for me, though. I have been lucky enough to see it in person a couple times, and it is breathtaking. Someday!

·

likewise. i am a HUGE fan of the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk. i’m torn between the date or the minute repeater versions. but i say “torn” as if i’m ever going to get either. this is a pipe dream…but it’s nice to dream. i got to try one on at their Madison Ave. boutique and it’s everything you could imagine and more.

I don’t have grails, it’s pointless getting worked up over watches one could never hope to obtain. I like to let things wash over me.

but… if I could, and the opportunity was there, and money was no object… an original Cartier Crash.

·

Grail: Rolex Explorer II ref. 1655(late 1970’s)…the one on the right. I’m buying the Tudor BB Pro (middle) next year because I can’t ever see myself spending $35K on a vintage Rolex, let alone wearing it on the mean streets of Los Angeles😤🤬😡

·

Lucky enough to own it 👌💥

Growing up, Steve McQueen was my hero. Cool on the screen and cool in real life. I'm torn between the iconic Tag Heuer he wore on the silver screen and the less known but no less impressive chronograph he wore in real life.
