Cartier Tank Must vintage, is it good?

Hey, the Cartier Tank Must was the first watch I saw and it got me into this world of watches, it has always been a distant dream, but I finally decided that I would start saving for one, the problem is the price, a new one is around 3000 euros and that is quite a large sum for me. I was looking around a few places and I found some vintages that dropped a bit in price, so my question is for people who have or are interested in vintage Cartiers and give me some recommendations to know if it is worth investing, and if yes in where could I buy one?

I’ve had both vintage and newer ones. As the design is basically unchanged I’d strongly recommend a newer one to you. The older ones are a little flimsy / fragile.

I picked up a modern quartz one for £1.1k yesterday. It even has 6.5 years of warranty on I it. So bide your time and shop around!

When you eventually find one - enjoy it. They are absolutely brilliant watches!

Thank you for your comment, can you give me some sites to find, or something? I m completely new at this.

I’d set up a saved search for “cartier tank” and “cartier tank must” on eBay, with alerts. You will then get a ping every time one is listed and can pounce on a bargain.

A big site you can use to check the going rate of these things is chrono24.

just be careful of franken watches. With vintage watches on eBay and other sites you might run into this issue. I bought an Omega rose gold (50s) from a very reputable local watch dealer, everything checked out but still WC community found odd things in the watch that they suspect it is franken. It was my very 1st post here. I still like the watch even if was sum of many parts.
