What spinnaker watch?

Hello, I have been looking at some watches for a few months now, I am a person who practices sailing, but in my day to day I am more elegant, I have a range of more than $300 dollars, I found the brand "Spinnaker" and I find it very nice with good designs and prices, but I have not decided which model to go for. I am deciding between the: "Hull Diver Arctic Blue" or the "Hull Chronograph Lapis". Which one do you recommend?

I’m more of a dive watch person myself, but the question is what type of person are you? How will you wear the watch? What type of job do you do?

I like the second one but I think for 300 bucks you can get a Seiko Samurai or a Glycine Combat Sub.

I had the Hull Chronograph. It’s a good watch but I found it to be a bit bulky and I would knock it against things a fair bit. Not an issue as a day to day piece but I’d just remember to leave it on shore when you’re going sailing.

Hull Diver

Spinnaker is high quality and a well made watch. I own 2.

This ^^^ I would say to the OP, why on earth would you get something like a Spinnaker, when you can get something with heritage, like the Seiko, or at least something Swiss made - like the Glycine - even if it is at that lower end, "always on sale" part of the Swiss spectrum? It seems that the OP likes the look of Spinnaker because it ties into their sailing. But honestly, go for the better watches, not the watch that shares a theme with your hobby. That, to me, is just a gimmick. Don't run after gimmicks in watches.

They are not bad, but just because it's called "Spinnaker" doesn't make it the one to buy for sailing water sports etc, as said there are better made watches out there more fit for purpose, that's just my thoughts,

In my few years experience in sailing I have found a small digital works best. Dont need crazy water resistance either, 50m+ would be fine

I have a Croft I really enjoy, so I would recommend Spinnaker for an entry level watch. Of the two you have, I would vote for the Arctic Blue Diver.
