Henry Cavill as the next Bond...what watch would he wear?

Rumours have been swirling for years about Henry Cavill being the next Bond. It turns out he's also a watch collector, and there's plenty of articles out there about his various watches he's worn. Looks like there's quite a variety, from JLC (ambassador), Breitling, Omega, Bremont (wouldn't that be a score for them to be in the next Bond?).

What do you think he'd wear as Bond? Perhaps they'd switch it up? Or would Omega continue to be the preferred watch?

I think it would be Omega or JLC. That said, Omega has built up a lot of brand cache being the bond watch brand and I think the relationship between them and Eon is mutually beneficial. I’m sure Eon likes that TSG money, too lol

·

Pretty sure Aaron Taylor Johnson or whoever the guy that played in Kick Ass is confirmed to be the new Bond....

·

I'm not sure if the actor really has a choice in that matter. Omega pays a lot of money to be featured in the franchise so I don't think whoever is casted to become the next Bond would get to decide to wear their favorite watch over a good old Seamaster like the past 30 years.

·

Omega seen as they have a deal. Won't change with whoever becomes the new one as it is not their choice.

Theo James has been floated also.

Think Cavill would need to lose a bit of muscle for the role and maybe too well known?

·

He's worn Breitlings a lot. Maybe he should mix it up and go with a Chronomat. ;-)

I thought so too, but apparently it's not confirmed yet 🤷

Omega. Some things need to stay the same.

No chance Bond would wear any of the new Bremont. Real shame... 😔

·

This seems appropriate & would be a cheeky nod.😃

A custom Roger Smith, with built-in military strength laser.

I feel like they just make these movies for one giant Omega Comercial. In reality should be wearing a g shock or something. I know people that take off their mechanical watches to just go golf let alone plane jumping, rpg shooting, hand to hand combat, along with the occasional plane crash or automotive accident.

I grew up with Goldeneye, so Bond's watch will never not be an Omega SMP300 w/ a laser.

The unofficial bond watch is the explorer in 36mm

I do love the Aqua Terra GMT World Timer (or whatever they call it now), büt isn't thät just a little too…attention-grabbing for even Bond? If not, ät least put the original änd not this gilt version.

🤷🏻‍♂️

It probably has more to do with marketing and who will pay to be on screen.

Omega has made so much money with the omega brand, they won't stop the partnership now.

I would like it if they would showcase other watch brands from the Swatch group and giving them to other characters for example, Hamiltons for the CIA, Blancpain for M, Rado for Moneypenny.

Yeah I like this idea! Also makes me wonder if they will put in a cheeky Moonswatch appearance 😅

A moonswatch for the villains haha

I would love to see Bond rocking a Doxa. Not the Professional, but perhaps a Searmabler or Carribean for a more subdued look.

·

Bond would wear the watch from the company who pays the production company the most money. It's about the money not the watch.

·

The franchise, for years is (is) sponsored by Swatch Group specifically Omega. It has to be a Seamaster or Speedmaster or even a Omega or Blancpain by Swatch.

·

Henry is still holding out for an AP/Warhammer collaboration. Kidding aside, I can see Rolex working their way back in, onto his wrist. Likely a submariner. Looking forward to seeing him and Alan Ritchson in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Has there ever been a more British title?

·

Bond? I hope not. Looks like another George Lazenby. 😉

He kinda looks like Ted Bundy
