Whats your favorite Japanese watch brand?

For me, obviously it would have to be between Seiko/ Orient & Citizen. How about you?

Seiko here!

·

All the japanese brands are doing an excellent job but I still go w/Seiko.

·

Always Seiko

·

Casio for the win. I hardly ever hear of QC issues with them. And their sales are stronger.

·
  1. Casio Pro-Trek

  2. Casio Edifice

  3. Casio

  4. Citizen Promaster

·

Casio for sheer choice, wish they did the Oceanus range worldwide instead of just Japan. I like the others too but QC with Seiko drops it too second. Orient ties with Citizen for 3rd for me. Love them both just wish they did more stuff instead of their classics. But Citizen seem on the rise.

Grand Seiko

Has to be Casio for me. Just wish more of their digital watches came with a sapphire crystal.

·

Seiko for me definitely. But there exist many japanese independent watch manufacturers that are worth a look.

·

Has to be Seiko, all day, every day.

·

Seiko by far, but I'd be all about Citizen if they upped their design game. The quality, innovation, and technology is all there, but the watches are almost always too big, too busy, or generally cheap looking (though some of the Promasters and Chronomasters are on point).

  1. Seiko

  2. Casio

·

None of the above. Turned to Germany, UK and China for non-Swiss watches :)

·

Citizen. Great accuracy, build quality, and not Seiko. And I have nothing against Seiko really other than their fit and finish is below par for what they charge on the models I'd be interested in.

I keep day dreaming about a Naoya Hida and Kikuchi Nakagawa. I almost pulled the trigger on a Naoya Hida Lettercutter this year but then I got lazy since I didn’t realize I had to write and submit an essay on why I wanted one. The other path was through a lottery. The Kikuchi Nakagawa I’ve been dreaming of is the Murakumo, but it’s a 132-144 month wait… will I even desire one in over a decade? 🤔

Build quality and Price goes to Citizen.

·

Casio... Always Casio.❤️💯🙌🏽

·

Casio is God tier 😁

·

Grand Seiko all day, every day!

·

I got them all love them all. Casio has gotten me started in this hobby. I can’t never say any of these sucks Japanese takes pride in there products and they make them well.

·

#GrandSeiko of course! And Citizen watches are real sleepers. Take a look at the JDMs ranges.

·

Citizen for me. I got into this brand not so long ago compared to Seiko but I love it so much.

They offer a wide variety of style, design, and price range.

They master stainless steel and titanium engineering.

They have basic to high end solar quartz movement, same for the automatic.

According to my purchases, Casio win here...

1.- Casio (13)

2.- Citizen (8)

3.- Seiko (6)

4.- Orient (2)

I Will give a chance to orient tho, Next IS between the Bambino V.2, or the stilish Mako

Casio g shock , Citizen promaster

·

If you look at what I’ve bought, it has to be G Shock (Casio). And I also own one Orient. But if you’re talking about looking at watches, it’s definitely Seiko

·

Grand Seiko for me.

Seiko 💯 Although GS would probably be at the top. I’ve never owned one so can’t say it’s my fave yet.

·

Seiko ... I just love their dials
