My first Baltic!

Finally! At a Facebook auction I found this, my exact dream spec Baltic!

The whole thing was really weird. I found the auction just a couple of hours after it got published, and none had bid for an hour or so.

I placed a bid, and there was no action for another 24 hours, so I won.

Really happy with getting it for basically half off!

Obligatory case back photo:

Also, the clasp on the BOR bracelet is really nice and sturdy. Really impressed!

Thanks for tuning in! Cheers🍻

It’s awesome!

No, the links are held by single pins, sadly. Would love to see screwed links, and I almost expected it! The bracelet itself feels super nice. It’s really comfortable and you have many micro adjustment-holes on the clasp!

That caseback is gorgeous, it really reminds me of what I saw in pictures of Pateks. This same model is avalaible on facebook where I live too and Im very tempted but I have to practice some restraint.😄

Only bad thing I heard of the baltic is that the movement is pretty innacurate, whats your take on that?

·

Great watch! And beautiful shot of it. I picked one up last time through France at their showroom. Definitely not disappointed.

I’ve literally only had it for 4 hours, so thus far it’s accurate. I am hoping that it isn’t that bad!

As for the Patek, had a try when I was in Geneva last year:

Gorgeous!!! A dream

I’ve had zero inaccuracy with the movement in mine. It does rattle a little though when the rotor spins on picking it up in the morning. Not sure if that’s just mine, but it does cheapen it slightly. I’ve heard it can be lubricated to stop the noise, but it’s so minor that I’ve ignored it!

Who cares. I don’t understand why it cheapens it, I am even pretty sure that silence has never been a

quality criteria for calibers.

Thanks! Nice pick! I look forward to trying different straps on it, and that right there looks amazing!

Its a ostrich navy from delugs. Pretty happy with it

Awesome photography 👌

Congrats! It's a great looking watch.

I also wear it on the BOR bracelet...

I'm hearing the rotor too, so I'll see if it bothers me enough that I'll lubricate it..

I am pretty sure it always has been.

Eh, more on picking it up is what I mean. It’s not super loud, just a slight rattle. Perhaps a harsh criticism at that price point, but I don’t get the same rattle noise from their Aquascaphe or Hermétique lines for example. Just a small quality thing really, not a deal breaker or I wouldn’t have bought one!

I am pretty sure it always has been.

Noise can be a combination of many factors : the case thickness and material (noise propagation), the way the rotor oscillates (one-way rotation or bidirectional), the shock protection, etc.

All these are unrelated to the cheapness of the caliber or even the choice. This is just a design choice.

You will find some people noticing that their Omega or JLC are noisy, I don't think they have cheap calibers.

Beautiful watch!

This one’s a stunner! I love it on the BOR bracelet!!
