Do you guys wear your watch at home?

Personally, i only wear my watches when im going out, and put them back in the box when im back home. So much so when i was wearing it around the house for fun the other day my mom asked where i was headed to ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I sometimes see posts taliing about people that shower with their watch, so WC, do you wear your watches at home, or are they on the wrist all day?

I work from home most days so I just wear a watch at home for my own enjoyment. Unless the heat is unbearable like today and it's uncomfortable.

Never shower or sleep with a watch.

Yeah, never understood people that sleep/shower with their watch, makes it was more susceptible to damage, especially when youre sleeping and have no control of your wrist! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I am always wearing my watch except when showering.

Why wouldn't I? I like watches.

I don't understand taking it off when at home, can someone explain that one?

Personally, i have always taken my watch off when i get home, most probably bacause my parents always took off their watch at home, so it seems like the norm to me. I am however starting to wear them around the house more often!

I often switch watches to go to bed. If I'm wearing a watch with boring old "normal" lume, I'll often switch to one of my Navigators with tritium.

I like the convenience of just opening my eyes and seeing the time clearly without needing to have a bright clock beside the bed, or light up a phone.

Work from home...wear at least one just for my own entertainment...sometimes it's a 2 or 3 day

ยท

Yeah, I've got this day/date automatic that is too cheap to be hand-windable so I just accept the shackle when I get home so that it stays wound. It's a real hassle. Quartz is so much better.

i have a small favorite i wear most of the time but switch to one of my creations going out sometimes. I'm never without one because they are small, lite and comfortable to the point i forget they are there.

I only take my watches off when showering, practicing sports and going to the sauna. I wear it to bed, while doing chores, at the office and throughout my daily life.

Had a watch pretty much on wrist continuously since the mid 1980's. Can't sleep without one!

Wear your watch in the shower?

Do you really want to risk hot moist steam going through your gaskets into your watch movement and damaging your watch?

I don't even leave my watch in the bathroom when I shower.

Steam is not your watch's friend.

100% never understood people showering with their watches ๐Ÿ˜‚

But not the same one.

ยท

My watch is part of getting dressed. I get dressed regardless if Iโ€™m going out. I rarely shower while dressed, watches rarely shower as well.

ยท

I feel naked without a watch on my wrist. Don't shower with one on, not even my dive watches, but usually sleep with it.

ยท

I always have a watch except in the shower but I would keep my gshocks for shower. I like to have a comfortable coton strap when I sleep so I generally switch the watch I was wearing that day or swap the Nato strap. I like wearing watches and it's convenient for me to see the time at night so a good lume is appreciated. I can't wear any digital at night because without glasses it's difficult to see ๐Ÿค“๐ŸŒƒ!

I've got a watch on 24/7. The minute it takes to change watch feels like an eternity ๐Ÿ˜

ยท

I wear my watch everywhere except for the shower

It's comfortable. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I typically wear a watch everywhere but in the shower. The only reason I don't wear it in the shower is because I find it gets in the way of showering. I do wear a watch to sleep, most of the time it's a G Shock because I like have the light at night, however on days where I go to bed tired I'll sleep with whatever is on my wrist.

ยท

When I was a kid my Mum once bought me a watch and told me I had to sleep with it on so it knew it was mine.

Even when sleeping and showering, it feels wrong without one!

Mostly showering in a g shock, or a modestly priced watch with good WR and a rubber strap :)

That Promare is beautiful, donโ€™t see to many of them around

I wear my watch all day everyday. Wear it to work, gardening, cycling whatever Iโ€™m doingโ€ฆ worn my bb54 since Aprilโ€ฆ not a mark on the case and few very light scuffs on the clasp. I donโ€™t know why youโ€™d save up all that money and not wear it. In the case of the Tudor itโ€™s a dive watchโ€ฆ tool watch.

If it gets scratched..so what. It my watchโ€ฆ Iโ€™m not gonna sell it, so itโ€™s condition is not a factor.

I am a never-nude when it comes to watches. If it can't stand the shower, it's not good enough for me.

ยท

I pretty much wear my Apple Watch at home most of the time(buzzes when itโ€™s time for meetings and such) but only wear my โ€œwatchโ€ watches when Iโ€™m headed out.

ยท

Years back I had a Titanium Luminox Navy Seals that literally only left my wrist for battery changes. For almost a decade.

Occasionally I will keep my watch on when I nap. Most definitely wear it when swimming. Rarely in the shower.

ยท

There are really only three times I remove my watch....

To change to a different watch.

When I switch over to a pocketwatch while on horseback.

When between the sheets with my lady (no scratches ๐Ÿ˜‰).

I wore my Submariner in the shower for over 20 years...never a problem.

There are only 24 hours a day. When you are a true watch aficionado, why wouldn't you make the most out of it and wear a watch 24/7 ?

I typically wear a given watch from getting dressed to coming back home at night, then change to another, more casual one (BlackBay 58, Sinn 556A, Scurfa, vintage Yema,...) and finally swap to my trusty Marathon Navigator (the real one, with Tritium tubes) as my night watch.

That's how you do it, folks.
