Freshened up my old Seiko 5!

Recently i have been enjoy my neo-vintage Seiko 5 on the wrist due to its compact dimensions (35mm on a 17cm wrist). The scratches on the crystal didnt really bother me as it was already pretty scratched up when my dad gave it to me (It was a wedding present from my maternal grandfather) as i felt like it really had a nice charm to it.

However, i felt like it was time to give it a makeover, so to give it a second life, i bought some polywatch and a second hand Delugs Strap for it.

Yesterday, i received both the strap and polywatch in the mail, so i spent some time before bed polishing the crystal and putting the strap on, and i must say it really came back to life! I fell in love with this watch all over again and am wearing it today. This is also my first leather strap watch now and i must say its going to be hard fighting off the urge for more straps in the future!

The strap is amazing! Very flexible and contorts to the wrist well, not to mention the leather itself and craftsmanship being very high quality. I am in singapore, where delugs was founded so its also nice to support a home grown brand!

The straps are great quality but way overpriced compared to Etsy artisans crafting similar straps with better leather for half the price, ie Tuns. They get away with applying a luxury markup on their products thanks to good marketing and paid influencers but it's not a fair price.
