I am leaving to go overseas in a week (travelling to the USA) and since this would be my first time travelling in a few years and my first time wanting to bring along my timepiece, I was curious to hear what you guys do with your watches? Do pack them in your checked-in luggage or simply wear them?
For reference, I am only planning on taking one watch abroad.

I wore mine onboard. I came home with 2 more which went in my personal carry on
I went from USA to London back in march and I wore one, and had a travel case that held 2, which I kept in my carry on (back pack). I had no issues.

Whoopsies
I wear whatever Iโm traveling with. I think itโs safest on my wrist.
I only take one watch, I wear it throughout trip.
I wore one and one in the backpack.. if itโs not a crazy expensive watch then you donโt have to worry of customs as well
I usually take two, one on my wrist with all the functions (multiple alarms, time zones, etc.) and a second, more presentable one, in my carry-on for everyday wear at my destination.
Wear one, and then two go in a Prometheus Design Werx dual case or a watchpod case on my carry on.
I travel with only the one on my wrist
I take three with me and typically come home with 4. This year I got the Snoppy in London

Sounds like me!
Always on the wrist. Never remove it.
I were one watch โฆ sometimes two if itโs a long trip for workouts
Bringing one watch, wear it. I would bring 3 at most, wear one, other two in my carry on so I can keep an eye on them, Iโve had checked in luggage not make it on the same plane twice already.
If just one watch I would wear it.
I wonโt flaunt my wealth if Iโm going to a poor country. Itโs just bad taste and I donโt want to stand out. I usually wear one of my Seikos or a Tag. Anywhere else, Iโll wear what I want but Iโll only take one sports watch and one dress watch.
I wear 1 watch leave the rest in a safe at home
I just wear them. At security check I put them in my backpack. Itโs important to have the invoice with you, because otherwise you can get problems with the costums. Donโt worry, until now I was not getting any problems:))
I take one watch when I travel. Usually just wear it through airport security. I've never been asked to take it off before.

Makes sense. Just FYI, there are many countries where Tag is viewed as a high end luxury brand. I wouldn't personally travel with my Tag if I was trying to blend in more.
Wear it.
Travel with and wear one watch
I wear one and pack in my carry on 1 or 2 others in a travel case. The expensive or unreplaceable ones stay home.
Nobody questions a Seiko quartz watch. Any Japanese consumer brand is flying below the radar. I used to fly a lot, and I have been questioned about a lot of things, such as suspiciously unworn jeans, but never was I questioned about my Seikos or Casios.
I usually take 2, sometimes 3. Doesnโt make sense, I usually only wear one. I guess I want the option.
I wear one then the other ones will go in my carry-on usually a back back. I also bring a couple straps (rubber or sailcloth) if Iโm going swimming.
Put on one, brought one (in carry on) and bought one before flying off. Total 3 watches with me on the trip. And when I return, I wore the newly bought, the other two was with me in my carry on. Almost bought another piece when my return flight was delayed but i controlled. Did not want to fill my watch box up so quickly.
Currently sat in a pub in London.
Brought my Baltic bronze on an Erika MN strap Not too flashy, comfortabel strap.
Dont want to draw too much unwanted attention to it and still wear what I like. Happy days

Youโre absolutely right. I donโt know why I said that. Seiko and Nezumi for travel then.
I think a lot depends on where you are traveling to and how safe you think the watches may be from getting stolen. Usually I'm wearing a watch and if I take others in a watch roll, or travel case, I will put those in my backpack. It just feels safer for them to be in your possession at all times.
I always pack in my carry on along with any other valuables.
