Watches in Wonderland; Do you sleep with it on or off?

Some watches sleep better on our wrists than others. For sure, all my Rolexes get the scream from the family at night as it scratches them. I just wanna tell the time especially with a new born. Apple watch is far too bright with the backlight and it wakes up the kids. What is your sleep time buddy? I've resorted to my trusted Casio G-Shock. What about you?

I usually wear my Marathon Navigator. It's light, comfortable, and has tritium tubes so it's easy to read without pushing buttons.

Love it!  Thanks for sharing...maybe a 2023 purchase???  I have a baby anyway....

I dont wear a watch to sleep, unless its during very unusual circumstances. When my son was a newborn I wore an f91w for the first few weeks however

·

I wear two at night. One is my Apple Watch to track my sleeping patterns and then I‘ll wear one of my beater watches, which is either my Tudor Black Bay Ceramic, or my Porsche Design Series1 Chronograph.

Whatever watch I'm wearing during the day comes to bed with me.

Sweet man...I love the bb ceramic.

Why would the light from your watch wake up the kids?  Are you all sleeping in the same room like Uncle Joe and Charlie Bucket?

Homes in Singapore are like cray cray pricing...we have a tight ship.  The kids have their own room but in the middle of the night caucus etc...that's what dads are for. #EarningFathersDayBrags

I am so glad my kids are in their 30’s.  LOL.  I don’t envy you.

I always wear a Timex with Indiglo to bed.

Easy to read, short duration, and unobtrusive.

I had this growing up, and when it failed to work I never replaced it.  I love the indiglo.

My Teddy Bear for my wrist

Yeah I wear my fancy square,it has my alarm to wake up in the morning.

·

Nope.  I like a naked wrist in bed.  I also will, on rare occasion, act out while dreaming and lash out while dreaming of a fight.  I'd hate to injure my wife with the metal on my wrist or scratch my face or damage the watch!  Naked wrist minimizes this potential.

Me too man. But my sweat destroyed the display so I can’t dim anymore.

you damaged the watch with your own sweat? I mean, thats sucks, it should've been protected from that kinda of things by Apple, since it's a damn wearable.

·

Use your Apple watch in theater mode - just turn the crown to slowly brighten face to tell the time without bothering anyone else.

·

I sleep with my grail watch. If somebody wants to rob my watch, they'll have to do it over my dead body.

·

I sleep with one every night. Usually a Marathon Navigator or a Casio W217h. Just a habit I developed years ago in the Navy.

I even brought it down to fix and I got the...sorry...blah blah blah

I want this

No watch to bed for me

·

I can’t say I don’t sleep wearing a watch because I do tend to drift off late evening (sitting in a chair) in front of Netflix or Youtube or whatever…. But I don’t wear a watch to bed. If I did it’d be a resin G-Shock (less chance of damage or injury blah blah) 👍

I need at least 2 alarms on my nearly at full ringer volume iPhone to wake me up in a morning 😉😂 That casio beep just ain’t getting through lol 💤

The vibe alarm on my GD-350 doesn’t do it either, I tried 😉

I will sleep through most casio alarms, but I got the snooze alarm on my gw-m5610 set to 20 minutes before I have to wake up. Half of the battle is having to train myself to wake up before 6 am with a regular alarm before I switched over. Plus it gets the best mb6 reception when I wear it to bed.

Explorer. Charge the lume at bedtime and it glows all night

I forgot to mention that all this becomes a bit academic once either or both of the children are awake… so on a morning like Sunday where there’s no urgency to get up they soon put paid to any extra shut-eye a chap could get 😉🤣

·

I only wear my Fitbit to bed, for sleep tracking purposes. If I wasn't doing that, I wouldn't have anything on my wrists.

·

Depends, if I wear a sports watch (steel diver mostly) I wear that in bed. Otherwise I mostly switch to a steel diver or keep my dress watch.
