If the World let you choose? Rolex Daytona

Say you get a call from your AD, and he says, "Choose your Daytona from steel to precious metals; what's your top pic?" As a Rolex fan, I was never really into the Daytona, as the Submariner was always the grail for me. Until my granddad, cousins and twin brother convinced me otherwise. I did get that call, and I did make a choice for the steel white dial, "Panda" but honestly, I felt rushed and I feel I didn't get my time to ponder a bit more. I still go through the process of, "Should I have...what if...but I love the panda." So, in 2024, if you do get that call, what's your pic?

Price wise, and if you could really choose, I'd go for the steel versions. The Panda is always the best way to go.

You’ve sent me down that rabbit hole, “sell everything. Cash out. One watch”

For the money, precious metal gold Daytona. Unsure 😦 f I'd opt for black sub dials with gold dial or reverse. But I'd want that submariner clasp on it. The issues I have with every Daytona that's not an all black dial is the legibility.

I'd go black dial steel if I money was a consideration.

I got my platinum Daytona craving with my Seiko Speedtimer

So, you got a Daytona. A watch that a lot of Rolex/watch fans dream of and can never get. And yet, youre not satisfied?

·

The one I would get is the "Eye of the tiger"

·

I thought choosing a Daytona was difficult until I wanted a Speedmaster. 🤯

·

None, the LeMans.

I know it’s no longer in production but since this is a fantasy anyways:

Peak first world problems 👍🏽

John Mayer Daytona. I don't care for John Mayer but I love green. And gold.

·

Can’t go wrong! I’d go reverse panda just to tone it down a bit.

A mate got the gold on oysterflex whilst climbing the ladder for his GMT. Seriously cool watch.

Simply da best. Especially with the zenith movements

I'm a Rolex guy and Daytona has never been my cup of tea. If anything, I'd grab a Ti Yachtmaster.

I love looking at daytonas online, then every one I see in person I’m a bit underwhelmed compared to all the hype they get - still beautiful don’t get me wrong but so much hype...

I think a larger size would be good for this model - 42mm like the sky dweller would be awesome

Apparently very few Ti42 out in the wild.
