Over the last 5 or so years it's safe to say that Blue has been the most popular colour. Partly in combination due to the rise of steel sports watches and such icons like the Royal Oak and the 5711 being most desirable in blue. However, the last 18 months or so the industry went crazy with the "Tiffany" blue dials so much that I think OmegaxSwatch were self aware when naming theirs Uranus.
However, with the release of the new 5270T-010 in this incredible jade colour and the new Mercedes AMG IWC in teal, I wonder is green going to become the new shade of choice? We have already seen the 5711 green, the penultimate colour for the model. The Seamaster in green. Rolex have also had success with their green models like the Hulk, Cermit and the Starbucks.
I am just bored and speculating of course, any other ideas or trend people are predicting?

I love green, so would be well onboard with that trend. I'd also love to see some lush brown dials. Coffee, chocolate, truffle, all the rich decadent shades ❤️

I would like to see that, what strap/metal combination would you go for though?
Fun to speculate!
@Deeperblue maybe you would like the new Limited Edition from Isotope...
I have heard a couple of podcasts from last year speculating on colours for 2022/3, specifically Davide Cerrato suggesting yellow and George Bamford suggesting claret / burgundy so how about...
or...
(I'm also a big fan of the new IWC Chrono)

The speedmaster looks immense! I am not one for yellow but that works really well 👍 and tbh of the MoonSwatch collection I thought the use of burgundy on the Pluto worked really well.
This morning I thought the same, check out my comment on this post:

That IWC and Longines chronos follow the same design pattern

Wow! Yes! That isotope is gorgeous 👌

Yeah I liked the look of that Logines you linked. They are doing some really nice things at the moment.
Beware of color as that is part of fashion which is the definition of fickle. Unless it's a cheap piece that you can discard when the fashion moves on and your suddenly out of style. "that's so last year" will come up.
my bet is yellow
Oh wow I haven't seen that. I do like the stuff Baltic make. It's a beauty 😍

I do agree that is a possibility and you're probably right. But I must admit some of them do look great
Not a particularly sparkling color but I like brown dials. I tried the GS when I visited an AD earlier this year. Very understated, but great looking, compared to many of the other spectacular models. The Certina is a vintage I bought this year. I don’t think brown will become a trend though.

You say that but I do think brown is a bit of a sleeper. It could definitely have it's moment in the sun 😎

Me too. I always have a rose-gold watch with dark brown dial and brown strap in my collection. I think that Mido and Seiko are the king of this combination. Mido has a plethora of options some more appealing than others (they have incredible dress watches with 42mm or with the ugliest date window in history 😭, but when they get it right it is fantastic, like this multifort)
And someday....
I don't mind Marine Nationale Blue.
You can keep the trendy turquoise and teal and green.
I'm a big fan of obnoxious color. I used to have this one for client meetings but I gave it away.
Been considering this one as a replacement
I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I agree with Bamford's suggestion of Burgundy/claret.

These are great little colour combo pieces. I've never heard of them but I like the look of them.

HAHA a little flex there. They are very nice in fairness and to have three of them, you must have done some homework and searched a bit for them. What draws you to them?

Collected them several years ago, when Tudor was practically a dead brand, and they were selling for a lot less than they do now. I had owned a Rolex Submariner some year before, and these Tudor Subs scratched the same itch, but without the Rolex poser stigma, or the crazy prices. Once I got my first and realized how great they are, I just couldn't stop myself. 🙄 Actually had a couple more, but I'm down to just four these days.
To my eye, these are the best colours you can find - black bezel fading to blue, and some nice tropical effects on the dial and lume. If I need more colour I can always put on a different strap.
Yeah they do look so much like the vintage Subs and with many of the same parts? Yeah that black to blue fade is lovely. Are they all from different years ?
I look forward to seeing more of your watches on here, and your strap combinations! Do you normally put them on a NATO?

Same here. Nothing beats a beautiful brown dial. I'm still salty about missing out on getting one of the FIVE watches that Fears made for their 175th anniversary: the Brunswick Brown.
Why make only five?! Photo credit to the lucky owner @kibblewatches.
Tiffany Blue seems to look like crap with almost every color except diamond.
This just ages so well. Love how the face goes so well with the case.

That patina on the bronze is looking good 👍

1996
tiffany blue is out
spring/summer: yellow
fall/winter: grape or bourdeux will be next
I think it's interesting and a way to change this up. I personally am not a fan of the "Tiffany" blue non sense. That's me. I do like that there are colors coming in but I speculate that the colors will continue, the rivalries and copying from each brand will continue, and more importantly, obtainment of pieces will still be limited. I learned recently, that if you live in Italy, you can't simply go and buy a Ferrari. Same everywhere else, and I'd imagine the same could be said for these pieces in Switzerland.
