I feel it’s a good release, might even pair well with my white SMP300. I wanna get it someday, maybe pre-owned to soften the blow of it’s very high price tag.
lacquer white dial is pretty, but price is def steep, I just satisfied my white dial chrono fix with this new release by microbrand Pitzmann, currently ordered:
Not that into chronos - and over $12k CAD is too rich for me to start with. One of these days might get my feet wet for a basic chrono but not jumping in here.
However - do have a question for the speedy experts here!
Why on a speedy is it called a 'sapphire sandwich' ...where on every other watch, it's called a 'display caseback'? An AL&S must be kinda sad being in same category as a Seiko 5! 😉

The original Speedy is the hesalite with a solid case back. When they introduced the display back they put a sapphire on the front as well, and it became known as the sapphire sandwich to differentiate it from the original. They also updated the movement to the 1863 by replacing the plastic chronograph brake with a metal one and adding more decoration.

Would I own one and do I think it's a great release, 100%. Do I want one for my collection right now, no.
It’s so cold they should have named it frosty ☃️.
Yes I want one, but no I can't afford one! LOL!
It’s very nice but … they haven’t exactly cracked nuclear fusion!

I guess you could say that about every watch release we drool over 😜
I'd prefer the 8600 € in cash. 😅
I wanted a speedy Canopus but it’s in white gold and too expensive. This SS comes to the rescue.
I'm more into the Zodiac SeaChron.
It would be cool to get a 80’s one with some light patina
Prefer the black. Classic and original colour. 🌑
It shows it as being €8,800 for me?
I want one more than the black dial, but not for nearly 9 grand.

Maybe the best looking Speedmaster watch Omega ever made.

I just wish we'd move from 50m water resistance :(
It looks great, but chronographs just aren’t my speed.
An alternative.
I want one but I'll probably never get one
Too big for my small wrist
Too big for my small wrist
They wear a bit smaller than the dimensions would suggest 👌🏻
Too big for my tiny wrist 😢+ too expencive for my tiny pockets
I want one. It’s gorgeous. Have been waiting for this as the black never was my thing.
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport
C, am broke 😔
