Best Minimalist/Bauhaus Alternatives to DW? (that don't cost the earth)

Always been fascinated by this brand.

All I can think of is these two:

I looked at the Sea-Gull the other day, a little too large for my wrist. Otherwise very interesting. Really like the "China Made". 😀

not sure if timex marlin is considered as minimalist, as some of them to me looks quite minimalist?

Not usually a fan of minimalist designs, but I came across this recently. The rectangular case in particular stands out to me, and the finish and price point look quite good. Curiously, they only make this one model, with different case/dial colors, and matched to different straps, which they also sell.

It’s available in various colours. Haven’t checked the gents section yet, and sadly Accurist don’t have anything in the style.

Edit: The Mens watches do have some nice options actually, and they have whole sections labelled ‘minimalist’ and coming in at about 50 quid. With Cold War Heritage to the brand too…

Why settle for less when a quartz Max Bill cost about 700 EUR new from Junghans or about 425 US$ new from Jomashop?

Linjer is really nice. I got one for my wife and she really likes it.

The automatic uses ETA 2824-2 movement. The quartz uses Ronda 5.

I've also heard that Spaghetti Scameti make a great minimalist watch.

I have a sekonda. I think it was 40€ tax free on a ferry.

Skagen makes some minimalist stuff.

Depending on your definition of costing the earth you could do a lot worse than saving a little money and getting a Nomos. Great design, all in-house calibres, definitely a cut above the Junghans etc. Don't know where you're at but they do appear in sales and entry level models can be had new for around £1000.

The Laco Classics series are pretty spot on Bauhaus. Made in Germany too (whatever that actually means, lol).

I would suggest looking at Braun. Especially if you like black. I've had a couple and moved them on.

Also suggest the Mondaine railway watch with it's distinctive lollipop second hand. These are growing on me.

Automatic miyota movement (same one featured in the DW if I'm not mistaken). Oh and around $100. Proper bargain

Slightly off topic: been scouring google and aliexpress to look for alternatives or hommages to the Glashutte Original Pano line like the PanoMaticLunar or the PanoReserve strictly with no central hand stack and a clean no frills dial - any idea?

Wish Zeppelin were cheeky enough to have a model that similar to their neighbours. I don't love the airship design logo but they could pull off the design and it would be pertinent to the rest of their models.

How about this classic masterpiece? It is a bargain and the same legendary quality as a Daniel Wellington . 😂

I was checking Timex, Braun [have to import], and hate to admit it, even Skagen for affordable minimalist watches, but I absolutely forgot that Titan, the biggest watch brand from India, also produced some high quality, great looking and affordable minimalist watches. Can get some great watches for under 60$, and their slightly more premium and thin "Edge" collection starting around 120$.

That's a cool one, you seen the Tyrell F1 version too?
