I only have one GMT and it's an Explorer ll. It comes in useful when I travel and to track family members traveling. I have one in Greece at the moment.
I was in the Navy. One time underway, our ship was "doing circles" around a timezone. So everyday or every other day, we were have time checks to go forward or back an hour. One of the guys I was on watch(station) with showed me his gmt and the ease of simply moving the hour hand.
I have really just started liking GMTs and World Timers so much lately. My traveling is very infrequent, (spend the $ on watches instead 😀), but when I do I make use of them. Reason for getting them though is just that I like them.
I have family on the other side of the world that I regularly correspond with so I need to be aware of when it be appropriate to call or text. I currently use my quartz Timex Waterbury GMT.
Don’t travel much anymore but I have a Tudor BBGMT and a few Grand Seiko GMTs, used to own a Patek Worldtimer, have a Breitling Transocean Worldtimer gift from my wife after a trip to Europe. When I started collecting watches it was not considered collecting if you did not venture beyond simple 3 handers, perpetual calendar moonphases were considered the state of the art.
I work in television and I need to keep track of time zones for the end and start of live events so I got a Glycine Airman with the ability to track three timezonez
I don’t travel a lot but I do work with a group that are hours ahead of me so it’s useful to have and when I do occasionally travel to meet them, I use my GMT exclusively for the trip. I have the Zelos Blacktip GMT
Don’t need one , if I travel to my wife’s home country in Thailand from Sydney , it’s not rocket science to subtract 3 hours from home time or 4 if it’s daylight savings at home .
I don't travel a lot these days but do find a need to track the time in a second time zone every now and then. Plus it's just a cool complication. So there's that.

I travel and I like the looks. Too many to name.
Only for the looks of GMTs 🤣🤣🤣
I live in a man cave.. need to know when is it safe to come out to avoid family members
I liked the watch. I have zero use for the GMT function and would convert it to a three-hander if that were a thing.
I like watches.
All kinds of watches.
I like pilot watches but I'm not a pilot.
I like dive watches but I can't swim.
I like dress watches but I never get dressed up. (or wear a dress)
I like military watches but I'm not in the military.
I like watches. If I was required to have a reason to own any of my watches I probably wouldn't like watches.
I wanted to build one to see how difficult the vertical spacing of the hands with an NH34 would be.
Initial fascination was realizing they existed when I was making log entries onboard ships that used GMT.

I don’t travel enough but love the complication.

I think it looks cool.
I travel nowhere. The "on demand" 24 hour time is useful on my work but it's really just because it's pretty. I like pretty and useful

Work with different time zones. Family in different time zones.
I like the watch and the look of a GMT hand.
In the year of the GMT...you ask about GMTs.
It seems like every brand and microbrand had to get on the GMT bandwagon in 2023.
I have a few in the collection, but not too many...

Would have bought it regardless of GMT

I wish that I lived in a cave. When I was small we could only afford a scrape in the ground.
Work and live in different time zones in addition to traveling .
My daughter is a world traveller and I have colleagues overseas.
