This is one I’d seriously consider:

The Glycine looks too busy to me with the 24 hour markers, IMO. Voted for the Certina.

The Glycine wears really well (v thin) and combines both dive and field watch vibes. Also it can be had for way less than the Certina so for a desk diver it’s a good choice - mine was just over $300 from Ashford (some time ago now).

If you’re actually going diving though I would choose something else altogether. Not that these won’t do the job just that there are better watches for scuba but they tend to be bulky as desk divers.

Balanced

This is one I’d seriously consider:

I have this but it’s very flat so it does wear larger than the dimensions suggest. Not sure it will be a great fit for 16.5cm wrist?

Check out the Davosa Swiss Argonautic. Great Lume and durability

I like the Certina. But maybe that is because they are very very rare in the USA. Not much of a distribution network here. Always "up" for something rare.

Seamaster Diver 300M. Squale Matic Blue.

Seiko King turtle save the ocean edition, beautiful dial!

Tudor BB58 in blue. It’s a 39mm version. My wrist is 15.5cm.

This is really beautiful in person.

It’s funny, I have the same watch and feel the opposite way. It doesn’t curve much at the lugs, but it wears so low down to the wrist I feel it wears better than most 39-40mm dive watches. It’s very user dependent, I suppose

So your wrist is a full centimeter more than mine and that clearly makes all the difference.

For me it’s just a fraction off but enough that I notice it and I have other bigger watches with more curvature that are fine.

The person asking the Q has a smaller wrist than mine which was why I flagged it.

Unfortunately there are a few watches that I am struggling with for similar reasons e.g. reduced lunar pilot, Speedmaster sat 41mm and above.

Happy to compromise or pass on the more affordable watches but as the price increases it seems pointless to buy them if they don’t fit well.

I can’t take the Glycine serious with the word ‘COMBAT’ written on the dial. It’s just too far into the whole tactical thing. Every time I’d look at it I’d feel goofy. I don’t own anything with any camo on it… I work in fine dining not defusing IEDs.

i would recommend the Longines Hydroconquest 39mm (aluminum bezel)
