Choose your watch for 1000 USD

I propose to you a little game:

You are given the chance to buy any watch for up to 1000 USD/EUR.

Which watch would you buy?

Rules:

  • The watch has to be new.

  • MSRP can be above 1000 as long the watch can be bought legally, any tax/duty included, for 1000 or less.

  • You can buy from anywhere in the world and shipping is free

  • You cannot sell or trade the watch, ever.

  • You cannot gift the watch.

  • It has to be available for anyone to buy at the same price: no special offers from your AD...

  • You cannot add any extra money to buy something above 1000

  • You cannot keep the change if the watch is under 1000.

Post a picture of your chosen one.

My favourite region for new watches is 2000 to 3000 so this was tough. I think the CW is very nice though. However, much nicer and more interesting Ebels can be had for similar money, often new old stock, but it requires quite a bit of patience as much of the great ones are gone now. Deals can be found.

The Seiko SPB143 is selling for around $900 in Gnomon in Singapore or Sakura Watches in Japan. Both online and readily available. At retail in the US for $1200, this is easily the best deal for this piece👁

You have to choose one 😀

Depends on the day. Today it'd be the formex, this weekend when we hit the beach I'd probably choose the citizen.

There must be something under 1000 USD you'd like, right? A free watch, is a free watch after all 😉

oh yes, quite a few :

Citizen Super Titanium Eco-Drive BM8560-45L

Lorier Gemini Race Yellow Dial

to name those two

·

My answer would stay the same at $2,000 (since I can’t sell it)

I like the AT6080-53L better, although it is pricier, it's a shame it only receives Japan time signal. Around 375 euros

Great selection of watches you have provided here, thanks you all for participating.

I think I would go for the Citizen NB1060-12L with the gorgeous blue silver leaf dial. Around 700 euros.
