I like this generation of the AT over the newer ones. If it had micro adjust on the clasp I’d be all over it. That’s one of the reasons I’d pick the Explorer over the AT.
Out of reach for me, so don’t know as much about luxury brands as others; however, I’m think the AT dial is a bit cleaner which makes it the better all-rounder. My $0.02.
The omega is probably a better watch for a better price and I love it. However I have always had a thing for the explorer. I will most likely never have to make that decision but if I was really serious about trying to get one the AT would be more attainable for me so that’s the one I would go for. You can’t go wrong either way.
Clearly if you are in a position to choose between these two you’re winning because they’re both incredible. I personally lean towards the Omega but there are no losers here.

Already did
Omega. Mainly for the handset design.
Explorer.
AT.
Explorer for me but the AT is still a looker.
Explorer, I love the 3,6,9 dial.
Aqua Terra!
I’d look at the Rolex Air King same specs as the Explorer but less expensive.
Explorer, because of the 3 6 9 and no date

Exp no contest

Explorer in this specific comparison. AT with date at 6.

I have the AT. I still want the explorer though.
Can’t answer which will get more wrist time once I have both
Already did! And I freaking love it ❤️
Which is why I bought both of them! 😘

Omega, hands down.
AT with date at 6 for me. I love a good date complication and prefer just about everything in the AT over the Exp.
Aqua Terra
Definitely the Explorer for me. I just Love the 3-6-9 not just on the Rolex but any watch really. It just gives every watch a vintage touch.
Yes
Aqua Terra- honestly an Aqua Terra is the ultimate pure Class GADA watch.
Honestly my favourite rolex
I love both my AT's. No, I'm not impartial either.
Too hard to decide which so both together #omega and #rolex
Omega. Daniel’s’ coaxial escapement lifts it way up, in my view.
