My first watch
Just got this Q timex my first watch. Start of a watch collecting journey probably this will be my cheapest watch by a mile but still it has a story to tell. Start of something new for me. Would like to know your views on this watch.

Great looking watch, you can never go wrong with a Timex.
In my lifetime Timex has gone from "uncool" to "slightly cool" to "uncool" again. Now, for the first time, they are in solidly "cool" territory.
I just threw a new strap on my very similar Timex yesterday. It’s a great watch whether it’s your crown jewel or just the beginning. Of course, keep us posted!
I like have a few grab and go quartz watches and Timex was my first love
Awesome to see the Q is the start to your collection. Be very careful, the Q is the one that started this journey for me and now I own roughly 90 watches with 95% being Timex. I own all the Q's and they are an amazing watch. The colorway you have was my first and I would say my favorite watch in my collection. Out of all my watches, this is the only one that got a compliment by a stranger. The Q is king and I also own all the Marlins (Peanuts x edition) and between the two, I became obsessed with Timex and their long storied history. They have been ticking since 1854, nothing to sneeze at. Good luck on your journey.

Timex is a cool and harmless way to step on the slippery slope of watch collecting.
In two to three years time, when you will have had Oris, Omega, IWC, Breitling, Tudor and some others under your belt and will be much poorer than today, you will remember these happy days when buying an affordable watch brought a lasting smile on your face.

In my opinion, price doesn't make a great watch collection. Buying what you like makes it great. If it's a $10k Rolex or a $10 Casio, as long you love the watch. Can't wait to see where you go from here.
Timex has been nailing it with their designs lately. Good idea to get it on the strap, as the bracelet snags hairs.
I got this one for just 95$. Now that's a bargain.

Congrats! I have been eyeing the Timex Q Chrono, which seems to be sold out in many stores. The Q is an excellent line.
You have to start somewhere & Timex is a good place to start.Timex was my first watch, so long ago I hate to think about it; that is one that I like a lot.

Lovely looking watch, I've always liked timex, but have never bought one, what puts me off is the snap off backs and poor water resistant..

Yup…thanks to the influence of @TimexBadger and his vast Timex repository, I picked up two Timex’s (thus far) in the last few months. They are great (I prefer my Ironman over my G-Shocks — which I would once consider sacrilege)! So I can attest to the brand at the very least. As for your Q…it’s a ravishing morsel of loveliness!

It's a solid, timeless look which you can put on in 10 or 20 years time and it will feel as right then, as it feels today. It's a great choice for your first watch. Wear it in good health.
