Do you hate the red Sunday text on the day wheel?

It might be just me but I find the red text for Sunday on the date wheel really annoying and find myself wearing different watches on Sundays because of this feature.

Yes and no. I like the intent of blue Saturday and red Sunday as the last and first day of the week. Sunday means church though, and I don't like the sporty look it imparts, but there is the 'blood of Jesus' claim onto which one can latch.

I guess you don't have any watches that have a blue Saturday and a red Sunday...

Not currently.

Depending on the watch, the red or blue date can give it a nice pop of color. But I don’t really like the idea of a watch company trying to tell me certain days of the week are more important than others, especially if it’s intended to be religion based.

For me its the contrast of the red day and the black date. If they were to match or compliment each other I think it'd be better.

Red Sunday is so ominous. Appropriate for us working class people.

·

I really don't like a day complication so anything that makes it stand out more is a negative for me.

·

A great opportunity to pair the watch with a blue strap on Saturdays and a red one on Sundays 😀

·

I make damn sure I wear my Fortis on the 13th on the month!

I really like it or I don't dislike it, especially in sports watches.

·

I'll go one step further, it'd be cool to maybe have a roulette date wheel AND a blue Saturday AND a red Sunday, just for funsies.

·

I got more beef with vegans than I do with Sunday red text

I think it's more about the fact Sunday is the traditional/normal* start of the week.

People can/will imply/manufacture religious meaning with pretty much anything.

*In NA, Sunday is the start of the week.

Yeah, I've never heard a definitive reason for these colors, but a lot of conjecture. It seems unnecessary. Why not have date wheels with 31 blue and 1 red to inform us it's the first and last day of the month?

·

The blue Saturday must kill you too the whole weekend ruined 😭.

I like it it's a change to spice up the weekend 😁

·

It doesn’t really bother me, but I find the various idiosyncrasies of different watches to be features of interest.

It is just a watch!!!! We have enough hate in the world..I certainly dont want to concern myself as to the color of SUN on my watch...JMO..Enjoy the hobby

·

I had no idea what watch you were talking about so I said "no" to the survey because I don't have watch with the day, much less with the day in red. I can't imagine why this would even bother me if I did.

·

I love it. It’s like “danger: weekend almost over”

·

On my Mako 2, I love it. I think it complements the rest of the design well, and I notice it briefly when I put the watch on in the morning. Could be because it matches so well, but it’s one of my favorite details.

·

The non matching day/date wheels are a bigger excuse for me to avoid a watch then the red Sunday text.

I thought Sunday was the first day of the week in every Christian country's.

We always think of Monday as the beginning of the week and Suday as the last, and I live in the US.

·

Can you explain why it's annoying to you? It seems a bit unusual.

·

I try and only wear day date seikos on Sunday for this exact reason. I live the red Sunday especially on a black date wheel.

·

No, I love it

·

No, but for the same reason I don't wear my Boccia on the 4th day of a month. I just hate that four.

Why annoying?

·

I like it. More! I like the blue Saturday text, too.

·

In some Arabic day wheels, Friday is marked in red. What I think is quite interesting.

·

Hate any day wheel tbh 🤣
