I like this watch but feel like the broad arrow while a cool design choice takes away from its utility. Thoughts?

Is this because it partially obscures the chronograph at certain times?

Yes, almost a third of the subregisters.

I agree. It's too broad.

I can see where you’re coming from, It wouldn’t be a negative for me though.

Worst case scenario the time can be changed if chronograph legibility is paramount in a given moment.

I expect it’s a little difficult to avoid obstructions with chronographs. My Oris TT3 partially obscures the subdials at certain times also

I just had a oh duh moment. I had never thought to move the hands when finished timing.

All depends on how often you're going to use the Chrono function. I find I use mine rarely.

There are versions available without broad arrow hands

Nice looking attainable speedy alternative

·

I thought the same but I do also really like broad arrow handsets…. Cool watch

I know. And thats probably the best way to go but the look of the broad arrow speaks to me. I'm torn between looks and maximum utility.

Man I love Nivada Grenchen, I only own an Antarctic the made a collab with Seconde/Sencode and it’s the most “fun” watch I own.

Who times anything between 8 and 10 anyway 😂

Unfortunately thats when I do most of my cooking. 😅

The Broad arrow Speedies are my absolute favorite. I've had my eye on the Nivada because of that similarity, as well as the superb dimensions. For the amount that I have ever used a chronograph for timing purposes, I would happily live with the blocked view.

I'd go for looks. I've got a vintage Chronomaster, these aren't the biggest watches in the world, so if you want a practical chronograph you may be better off with something bigger

I have it and i am very happy with this chronomaster is a great watch
