Hello All - My name is Joe from southern New England. I always loved watches but never was a collector. My very first watch was a Tag about 15 years ago or so Paid $1000 for which I thought was crazy. The Tag leaked and rusted due to a bad battery swap so pick up a Movado Diver to replace it. Then about 5 years ago I grabbed an apple watch and grown to hate it so came back to my Movado last month. I tried to clean it up by repainting the dial and it came out ok. As I was searching for a replacement I became infatuated. Now I cant get enough. I think there may be something wrong with me, lol. I tend to love the 1970 watches most and gravitate towards Seiko now. I think I need help!!

Welcome to Watchcrunch. Seiko has a great reputation, and offers quality watches at very reasonable prices. I don’t have one, but have only heard positive things about them.
My new targeted watch is a Grand Seiko. It was an Omega until I started looking at others. Hopefully in the next couple years I find one that works for me.

We moved to Rhode Island the middle of 2020 from Oregon. We just bought a house in Cumberland near diamond hill park.

I'll start by saying if you want help with you're watch addiction you've definitely come to the wrong place, we'll only add to it 🤣
You'll now start to see watches that you like constantly, adding fuel to that addiction of your's. My only piece of small advice would be, taking your time choosing your watches, it's not a race. If your worried you might miss out on a good deal and find yourself impulse buying for that reason, sit back take a breath and come back in a week or so. It gives you time to rationalise what your going to spend your hard earned cash on.
Great deals come along everyday, so if you miss one today, sure as shit there will be another tomorrow 💯

Thanks for the advise and so true. I probably had 30 favorites / my next watch over the last two weeks. Right now its the GS spring drive sweep that is driving the addiction.
