My collection

Hello everyone. I'm fairly new to Watch Crunch so I thought I would put up a post about my collection.

Starting at the top left...

Omega Seamaster 2254.50 (circa 2003). This is the watch I've owners the longest and still one of my favorites. I picked it up about 6 year ago. I'm never giving this one up

Monta Noble (circa 2020). This may be my favorite watch in my collection. If you haven't checked out Monta, you should.

Hamilton Dateline A-279 (circa 1966). A gorgeous NOS 33mm solid gold dress watch I picked up for my wedding in 2018. My wife would never let me sell this one, even if I wanted to.

Christopher Ward C63 GMT (circia 2022). A recent pick up. Awesome watch for the price. Probably my most worn.

Visitor Dunshore Caligraph (circia 2022). I picked it up when the model was re released last year. It's funky... Maybe to funky for me.

Omega DeVille Quartz (circia 1973). My most recent pickup from Goodwill. It was sketchy when I bought it but after cleaning it up and putting it in an ostrich strap, I love it.

Borealis Estoril 300. It's a great watch but I'm getting a little bored of it. It's not getting much wrist time anymore.

San Martin Retro Water Ghost. This is my only Ali Express pickup. It is better quality then it deserves to be. It's super solid but I'm not wearing it. Probably going to move it on soon.

Casio GShock DBG200. Because everyone needs a GSock. I might have you model number wrong.

Omega pocket watch in a sterling silver case (circia 1907-1914). No, I don't keep it in my watch box. I only put it there for the photo. This is just a display peice but it is a runner that is well over a hundred years old.

I have flipped a lot of watches over the years but this is were I'm sitting at today. Right now I'm saving up for a (discounted) 40mm Speedmaster Racing.

Vary nice!! Welcome to the crunch🤝

·

Outstanding collection 👌 I'm not surprised at all that you want to keep that Seamaster forever, it looks very good 💯

·

Welcome! That Omega DeVille was a real find. The odd case shape and weird hands on the Visitor would, for me, make it one to sell.

·

Nice collection! Welcome to WatchCrunch!

·

Nice collection!

I have also the exact model of the C63. How is the built quality of the Monta compared to the CW?

·

lovely collection, welcome to WC

·

Love the collection. That 2254.50 is a gem. One of the only watches I had to purchase again after selling. I would still consider it a sleeper at this point.

Build quality is equal but the finishing on the Monta is much higher. I would call them both independents watch makers. I think both have graduated from micro brand status.

I got lucky. I purchased early when you could still pick them up for $1500. Now they are double.

I bought the Visitor because it is weird and fun. Kind of an alternate reality Paneri in how it wears. Definitely not for everyone though.

Nice collection. I also had a San Martin retro. It is a nice way to have a 1963 Rolex on the wrist and the quality is very good. It ended up getting little wrist time because I have other divers I like more. I sold it for not much less than what I paid for it as new. It will go fast on Ebay

Also the Monta bracelet had much more articulation and better finished. The CW has a better micro adjustment and gets point for being quick release.

Very diverse and interesting collection bravo Mr!

I have a sneaking suspicion that @FargoGeek is from Fargo, but I'm just reaching here. 😜

Here's a funny fact. My first radio set up interview was Jonny Lang and his mom!!😎

·

That DeVille is sharp! 👌

Welcome to the Crunch-Bunch. I’m also new but it is a low entry point here. Not snobby, sometimes edgy but always respectful (so far so good)😇

·

Welcome to the club. Love the pocket watch, I want to be the person that uses a pocket watch!

·

Thanks for sharing.

Great mix of vintage/modern and microbrand/major brand.

Awesome collection! I’d love to hear your thoughts on your Visitor. I was looking into a Duneshore Shallows for a possible addition to my collection. P.s. cool to see other fellow Fargoan who has gone down this rabbit hole of watch collecting.

Sorry for the late reply. I have logged into Watch Crunch in a bit. The Dunshore is a weird watch but that is it's appeal. It is big with a long lug-to-lug. You need a broad wrist to pull it off. I generally prefer smaller watches but I have 7-7/8" wrist so I can just pull it off.

The design is unique as hell and the customer service is awesome. No complaint about the company or the watch.

My only "complaint" is about the strap that I picked. I got the deer skin leather. Super soft and nice quality but I think it wasn't rugged enough for a watch this size. Personal preference. I did also just order the rubber strap. It is a nice strap but it is freaking long. I think it could easily fit a 9.5"+ wrist! I would have gone with the ostrich if I had to do it again. For the diver I would recommend the bracelet if it is avalible.

When I put it on, I am pretty sure I am the only person with a Visitor in the state. I know they have not made many. My Dunshore serial number is only in the 700s.

I would be happy to meet up if you want to check out one in the steel.

No problem. Thanks for your thoughts on Visitor! I have been eyeing one for a while, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. It’s b/w that and a Direnzo. They have a preorder for their DRZ 02 reissue coming up soon. So I was kind of deciding between the two pieces. You should check Direnzo out. It’s a really cool micro band based out of Switzerland. The brand owner Sergio is really nice and very responsive. I purchased their DRZ Mondial a couple years back and have been extremely happy about the purchase. But certainly if I decide to get the visitor, I will reach out to you. Thanks again, Tim.
