My forever watchers

I have bought and flipped a lot of watches over the last decade. Almost to my surprise, a good part of my collection are forever watchers that I know I will never part with. Not because of any intrinsic value but because what they mean to me.

What are your forever watchers? The watches you might hand down some day.

Mine are in order of purchase:

  1. The first watch is my Omega Seamaster Professional 2254.50. It is my first luxury watch and the watch I have owned the longest. Even after 8 years it still brings me joy.

  2. A vintage 1965 Hamilton Dateline A-279 in solid 14k gold. This was my wedding watch. It was an 25 year award watch that was practically NOS and had never been serviced prior to me. The strap looked new but was super short. Even if I wanted to sell it, my wife would never let me.

  3. The Monta Noble maybe my favorite watch. It special to me because it was the watch I bought after leaving a toxic workplace. I sold a Tudor that, in my mind, was connected to that employer and bought the Monta. My second best decision after quitting.

  4. The Omega Speedmaster Racing (40mm) is actually new but it was bought to calibrate my 50th year (I just turned 49). I scraped and saved more then I ever had for this watch and even though it is new it is very special already.

I've had the Noble since launch. About thee years. The only issue I've had is my clasp stopped clicking closed...with 2 months of warranty left. Monta took care of it pretty quickly.
