Which one?

Hi mates! I’m between one of these… Where would you go forward? 🎯

1 - THE LONGINES MASTER COLLECTION L2.793.4.92.6

2 - Tudor 1926 M91550-0002

This is a great choice to be making, you really can't go wrong. I prefer the date window on the Longines, but I like the black dial and pattern on the Tudor more. I'm giving the Tudor the edge, but it would be closer (for me) if the Longines had a black dial as well.

·

Another doubt I was too, Tommy. The black Dial won by 51/49. 😅 Now this blue from Longines makes my heart race. I'm more biased towards it for a few reasons: blue, exposed movement, finishing and ETA movement instead SELLITA (Tudor)

Hard decision my friend 😅

But I agree, even if I make a mistake I’m still right 👍🏻

The Longines is more symmetrical with its indices and therefore has the edge for me.

The 1926 was on the top of my list after months of trying to decide on a new watch. Also looked at Longines. I had the 1926 36mm on my wrist at an AD, but then she offered me a Rolex.

I’m almost exactly in the same boat on this. I prefer the date at 6, and I like the case shape of the Longines, but I prefer the dial color and hour markers of the Tudor.

·

As a full package I’d personally lean more towards the Tudor for similar reasons listed by others, plus the bracelet style appeals to me more. Would be a slam dunk if it didn’t have the date tho.

·

You can't go wrong with either. I bought a 1926 for my wife though and can personally attest to its quality. It looks classy, feels solid and the bracelet is brilliant.

·

It would come down to how both feel on the wrist to me . I like both ! The Tudor would be a bit more rugged and tool like . Both a good choice though!

·

The ideal would be for me to test them on my own wrist. I'm making an online purchase, I'm going to try to go to a watch store in my city.

·

For my money, I'd go with the 1926. Really solid choice and such a range of options (104 different configurations I believe) that you can absolutely get the look and fit you want. I'd go small - 36mm - and lean into the vintage vibe. Great everyday watch with enough WR and great bracelet and can totally double as a dress piece.

Longines

·

Longines.... IMO there is something wrong with that Tudor dial... not sure what but it doesnt look equilibrated to my eyes. Most people will probably choose it cause is Tudor, but not enough reason for me.

·

I love many of the Tudors.

In this instance I’d go for the Longines.

·

Here in Brazil we have an expert who knows very deeply about both movements and he said that despite being very similar, ETA movements still stand out over SELLITA. In terms of quality as well as in terms of service. This is not my opinion, but rather a reference on the subject to whom I tend to trust.

I love the micro brands inspiration! But, as I’m still a beginner, so far, I prefer the big ones.. Do you know de BA111OD ?

I haven’t see; one in person but I have looked at them and aware of them. I like the chapter 3.3. The strange thing for me is the pricing they are low and high seems to be all over the place. They are offering Swiss TOURBILLONs for under £5k which is remarkable but I would want to dig a bit deeper into the supply chain to see how this is achieved.
