I’ve wanted a proper field watch for some time; but, have resisted because so many variants seem to replicate each other in such a down-played and redundant fashion.
I watched Marc at Long-Island Watch (a few days back) present his inventory of brightly-colored Bertucci watches he just introduced, and all though those models didn’t pique my interest…the field watch genre did.
I got on Bertucci’s website and found the perfect field watch to fit my taste — the A-2A Golden Field aluminum watch!
This watch has an all-aluminum unibody with 100 meters WR, features a gold-tone movement, a gorgeous stitched single pass strap, Swiss super luminous application to complement its paper white dial, a three year warranty…and is a perfect 40mm diameter. How snazzy is that?
I just love the strap’s intricate stitching and robust hardware. It’s a real testament to quality.
I found the A-2A for sale on Long Island Watch, so I decided to buy it from Marc…because I had a great buying experience from him when I bought my Abalone Monster and my Bethpage.
So yeah…I’m pretty damn thrilled!

Time dictates my linear path to its bitter end. My watches keep me one step ahead of time…and one foot out of the grave.
It's a great field watch brand for sure. I have a DX-3 Plus. I love it but I found the strap too stiff and hard to manipulate so it didn't initially fit qell in my small wrist. I ended up swapping it with a thinner black Nato and it's feather light and wears way better!

That’s awesome! Being brand new, mine’s also a little stiff. But I feel confident it will conform to my wrist.

Thanks. I think Echo/Neutra are worth checking out. They do a few different things and they’re not ridiculously priced.
I’ve also got a Titanium Hamilton Khaki Field that I love.
But the Echo/Neutra is just a bit special.
Nice! My first purchased watch was a Bertucci that I bought after seeing it recommended by Marc and Urban Gentry as a great sub $100 dollar watch. I've been looking at their other offerings recently and can understand why you pulled the trigger on one of their watches. They are fantastic. Love the colors of the watch you chose.

I always wanted a Columbia watch. I think you could buy them at Eddie Bauer stores back in the day.
It's almost vintage at 17yrs old. Twas a birthday gift back in 2006.
