I found my long-lost pedometer. Big deal!

I found my old Freestyle 599 Coach Pedometer in a dusty shoebox the other day. You’re saying, “who cares?” I don’t blame you. After all, I’m diverting you from a beautiful photo of a JLC or the like. But…this thing slips on your belt and quietly works behind the scenes to gather data about what a physical trainwreck you’ve become. That’s still a really cool thing, right?)

I replaced the long-drained battery, and this gadget sprang to life…after sitting for over 20 years.

It’s got a step counter• distance calculator• calorie counter• time and day display• speed calculator • current and last week memory.

It’s not a watch per se…but can be used as one while out-and-about…all while gathering data at what a sloth I’ve become!

Do any of you wear a pedometer daily to check if you are alive or not?

I don't but I did. My phone does it now and laughs at me.

You can use a cellular telephone for that but then you have to carry the thing around everywhere you go.

You can use a watch for that, or even a smaller fitness tracker, like Fitbit, no need to carry that shoebox with you anymore like it's 1995.

It is funny, it is one of those things that is a must have for a few months then goes into the history books. At the moment its Air Fryers in the UK.

But I like it.
