I'm done with bracelets.

I keep trying to like bracelets but I just can't do it! I've ordered a rubber strap but in the meantime I'm just going to wear it on leather. Don't judge me! ๐Ÿฅบ

Now on rubber ๐Ÿ˜

Looks great to me

Welcome to the club! I also have tried to like bracelets, but I just can't. I find them inflexible, uncomfortable, and cold in the winter.

ยท

While I have some watches where the bracelet is really great (e.g. Phoibos, the Citizen Nighthawk), I am as well wearing more leather straps (in fact I just ordered some, NATO style and 2-pc), independent from the watch. So, can fully connect!

ยท

There's also Milanese mesh, which I think is a good compromise between bracelet and leather.

Not that there's anything wrong with leather. 80% of my watches are on leather.

ยท

I am with you, not a bracelet guy. Looks great!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

ยท

Good to know I am not alone ๐Ÿ˜‚ I really donโ€™t like the look or feel of braceletsโ€ฆHave 10 watches on leather and 3 on rubber. And that Sub looks awesome on the leather strap ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

ยท

Can't do steel bracelets. No bueno. Titanium if I must or leather straps all the way. It's just easier to fully make the watch your own/with your own personality with a strap.

ยท

Looks fine. Do what works for you. I have the opposite problem. I keep trying to like leather straps, but strongly prefer bracelets.

ยท

I love trying out different strap of all kinds, too. Straps can wildly change how a watch looks (i.e. the mood) and how it wears on the wrist. I think itโ€™s a big part of the fun of this hobby to swap out different straps as you want. Enjoy what you like and have fun exploring!

ยท

Looks great. I'm a bracelet guy. I put a Rubber B on my sub but it didn't do it for me. Went back to bracelet. IMO some watches were made for bracelets and the Rolex Submariner is one of them. I hope you enjoy your new strap when it arrives. As long as it works for you that's the main thing.

ยท

I have no problem with bracelets, in fact I prefer it in many cases. Having said that I think leather on a diver looks fantastic. A distressed canvas is also good looking.

ยท

Iโ€™m in the opposite camp I think. I try and take the bracelet off my Tudor or my Oris or any number of my watches that have bracelets and within hours I put it back on. I like the way my watches look on straps, I have many straps, but I almost always prefer the bracelet at the end of the day.

The sub looks great on its strap though, for sure.

ยท

I 1000% understand this point. Iโ€™ve gotten very choosy with bracelets as my journey has gone on.

ยท

Less noticeable and probably more comfortable on the leather so a win win

ยท

I like the way a good bracelet looks but I don't like to wear them. I put leather or NATOs on every watch I own. Much more comfortable that way!

ยท

No judging, Iโ€™ve had my similar looking GMT M2 on strap for at least 6 years, though I love my oyster bracelet. Iโ€™ve had it on a sailcloth which looks like leather but is synthetic and water proof and now Iโ€™m onto Epsom leather straps.

I love it!!!

ยท

Looks fantastic!

As a bracelet guy, I say do whatever brings you joy with your watches.

ยท

I do judge you. I judge youโ€ฆ tasteful!

ยท

I always prefer straps over bracelets. Comfort is king!

ยท

I have always been an OEM bracelet guy but lately notice that straps with folding clasps actually minimize the scratches and nicks that my watches fitted to bracelets generally pick up, additionally a new strap or rubber or even nato gives my watches a new vibe. I think with certain watches a properly fitted bracelet is going to be preferred or a more frequent option.

ยท

I'm a bit shocked by this. I'm finding the bracelet with the fly micro adjust on the Sub to be the best experienced. It's constantly on my wrist. However, you are entitled wear whatever you like. It does look great on that strap!

ยท

Just calculated that 94,12% of my watches in my collection are on a stainless steel bracelet. This is 1 out of 17 that is equiped on a nice leather. Not the best picture but just to see how it looks like. After my โ€žleather periodโ€œ I found somehow more fun in colorful dials. Putting color on the dial and the leather would be to much for me and a bracelet gives the color on the dial more room to shine. I think this is the reason why I have so many of them.

I like a Sub better on a nice black rubber strap.

I'm wondering if people who like a very snug fit prefer a strap. I like loose fitting bracelets. 3/4 of the strap pictures above look like the watch is extremely secure on the wrist, just like a strap should be per the definition!

a: a narrow usually flat strip or thong of a flexible material and especially leather used for securing, holding together, or wrapping

b: something made of a strap forming a loop a boot strap

c: a strip of leather used for flogging (????)

2: a band, plate, or loop of metal for binding objects together or for clamping an object in position

I have large squishy wrists and although it may look tight it's actually quite loose. Straps are just more comfortable than bracelets.

ยท

I'm not much for bracelets either. They're just not very comfortable to me. They don't give or stretch, they don't breathe well, and they're not so easy to adjust on the fly compared to a strap. On my little wrist the end links often fit funny, even female end links. They're just not made with smaller wrists in mind.

Looks-wise, they're a bit gaudy to my eye, and they make a watch look so one-note. All personal opinions, of course.

Ironically, the only bracelets I will actually wear are the cheap, sliding-clasp Casio style ones, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about anyway! ๐Ÿ˜‚

ยท

If the watch was genuine you would not have this issueโ€ฆ

ยท

I'm more of a strap guy myself. Any type of strap seems to sink more with me than bracelets.

ยท

Diver on leather. I see you like to live dangerously. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
