What is your grail watch?
You’re only allowed to pick one. What is THE single watch you desire most? It doesn’t have to be something attainable. Just something you think is the ultimate and that you desire. It doesn’t have to be rational. I mean, let’s face it…none of this love for watches is rational.
For me, it’s this: the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk. This is unimaginably out of reach but nonetheless this is just so amazing as a piece of engineering, artistry, and originality that to me it is my grail watch.

To be honest, I tend to drift with my grail watch, because that is what I do. I like so many things about so many watches. But if I had to pick what my grail watch is today, it would have to be the Audemars Piguet Starwheel. Oddly its not the most beautiful watch for me, but it is the most exotic!

I hate this question because it makes me dream of more watches that I shouldn't and can't buy (just kidding). Here are a few. Sorry if this is cheating. I love dreaming of watches.
Richard Lange tourbillion (that little dial pops into place when the horn reaches the left hand side. So neat!)
Snoopy 50tu anniversary speedy. Love the snoopy on the dial, the color, and the spaceship that flies around on the back when you activate the chrono!
I typically hate Urwerk, but I love the sleek look of this one, the Spock. The hours split off and then reform when the hour comes.
Love zeitwerks and this is a special one, a minute repeater and it's blue!
I love de Bethune as well. Another one I shouldn't buy..amazing color, beautiful guilloché, unique lugs, beautiful movement, cool moon phase... But, it's massive at 44mm!
