Twenty years ago, I gave up watch collecting (and sold everything I owned) to move from New York to Beijing and pursue a career in photojournalism covering Asia and the Middle East. After moving back to New York in 2016, I began rebuilding my life here, pivoting in my career and more recently, felt that it was time to re-enter the watch collecting fray.

Integrated bracelets
Excessively large case sizes
Lugs that are too “thick” and seem to turn the case into an amorphous shape. (C Shape case as an example)
Manufacturers that insist on an exhibition case back without properly finishing a movement beneath it and thereby making the watch thicker than it needs to be without any real added benefit.
Large watch logos (FP Journe is one, Seiko is another good example (and yes I own a Seiko))
