Are you ready to be De-Influenced the @Porthole and @Aurelian way? (Blame @Deeperblue for the inspiration.) The premise is this: suggest a watch model. We will post the reasons that you should not buy one suggestion that we select in a post next week.
A couple of things to consider: our knowledge of any watch may be limited, we will give you unvarnished and honest opinions, and someone's feelings may be hurt. (I also reserve the right to take gratuitous swipes at @Edge168n 's hideous Cartier Roadster.) Even if we like a watch, we will give you the Devil's Advocate reasons not to buy it.

I am thinking that one of the tests for any watch in this series will be: is it better than a Cartier Roadster Chrono XL? It's a pretty low bar to pass over.

I will say this, it’s nice to see you lust after something that isn’t a Seiko, but my goodness you need to wear a watch more than 5 mins before deciding it’s too old. You’re like the Leonardo DiCaprio of watch consumers, by the time the watch runs through it’s first power reserve it’s too old for you.

It may just be the rendering, but the "1" and the "2" in the "12" seem misaligned.
Stare at it for a while as any desire for buying that watch dissipates. At least Seiko can align numerals.
I noticed this as well. The problem I suspect is they are actually the same height but because the 2 has curved sides it appears shorter to the naked eye.

I'll play along. I've recently become very interested in the Bulgari Octo Finissimo based mostly on my fascination with its 6.4mm thinness, but also because I find the design very appealing. Tell me why I shouldn't buy one.
