Watchcrunch fam, I need some advice. I'm looking to purchase a Seiko (I have a Seiko 5 that was given to me), and I'm wondering what I should get. I'm not looking at Grand Seiko (not this year at least), but I was looking at Turtles etc., but If I'm honest, I have no clue where to start.
Key Criteria:
-Cool factor
-Comfortable on wrist
-Versitile
-Colored dial is a plus (green, blue etc.)
Can you help me out? What'd you choose and why?

Also, you gotta teach me how to take photos man!! The placing and lighting is superb
If you like solar power (and are an Arnie fan), you might try one of the SNJs. I am a big fan of Arnold, so I went with the SNJ025.
I got my Cocktail Time SRPD37 for the dial color.
This Seiko 5 is just fun and I couldn't resist.

So many options... I bought this Samurai recently...
But if you like green there's this "Sharp Edged" Presage...
Or this Alpinist...
...of course... if you want real street cred you get a Gasworks. @Deeperblue and @chronotriggered are now much cooler than a few weeks ago. 😎
I'm so full of sh1t. 😉
Nice one Centurion ! No harm in self advertising!!
Seiko has such a massive catalogue it's hard to know where to start other than the ones I personally like.
I love my Seiko arnie
I love my presage (comes in some beautiful dial colours)
And I love my Gasworks original refurb
A watch I don't own, but I think looks beautiful is this: 👌

That samurai dial is EPIC! OMGosh!!! The green options are cool.
I just got a Willard and I love it.
I'm a sucker for green and I appreciate the on wrist view of the case. I've not seen one on wrist.
I don't know if they're still the same size, but my STO was 44ish. It wore really well though; much better than some 41 & 42mm watches I've had on.
My Panerai PAM 171 was a 44 so that's good perspective, thanks!
I will always recommend the Seiko Sharp Edge collection! I have the red dial, but it also comes in blue, green, black, and white among others. The bracelet is comfortable, but it's easy to wear on straps as well. At under $1000, I think it's a good buy
Here’s a bit of Seiko colour…..I wouldn’t just confine yourself to the current models, in my opinion some of the more interesting models are from the 1990’s-2010 period and you can still pick them up in mint condition if you hunt wisely. Good luck with the quest, it’s half the fun.

Wow! that dial is bananas! Such amazing detail!

Oh wow! I wasn't aware. I'm definitely interested in all that's available. Thanks for the tip on looking for models in a different decade. Seikos are tanks from what I gather so I'll be looking all around. In fact I also have been looking into custom modders too.

I landed on a Seiko Prospex limited edition "Turtle" Diver's watch. It's beyond amazing and I love it! The dial is a turtle shell and it's so detailed (I love looking at it under the loupe).😍😀

I think I recommeded a 🐢? Beautiful 🥰 There were only different bezels back when I had one. Love that dial. I thought it was like the sunrays making shapes an lines on the bottom through the surface. But a turleshell makes sense 😅

Thank you, it's legendary and I actually like turtles in general 😀

I believe you did! When I bought it over the holiday weekend, I took my loupe and that's when I discovered the shell, and there's an awesome texture to it as well. The sun does make it pop though.
