There is a clear winner here

Posted a poll few days ago. Went out to see and tried both and boy, I was underwhelmed with the Tudor trying them side by side.

Don’t get me wrong, I still find the Tudor BB 41 beautiful with the bracelet, but if I can acquire either of the two around the same price, I will definitely take the Seamaster.

You now have your answer which I agree - seamaster 👍

·

Bond approves

·

Both looks great on your wrist

·

That seamaster is clearly the superior watch. 🍻

·

Agree with that. The Seamaster is a level above the Black Bay 41. Better finishing, better clasp, sturdier bracelet, more elegant case silhouette, more advanced escapement technology, etc.

Thank you! That’s why it is so difficult to decide 😂

·

I’m team black bay here. Almost each piece of it appeals to me more than the omega. Bracelet, bezel, dial, hands, etc.

the omega is very cool just not my taste. That BB is a knockout though.

·

Yeah must say the Seamaster looks great on you!

I was team BB too when I voted until I tried the Seamaster. It was my first time and was blown away 🤯

·

Yeah, omega all day long, its really a nice watch 👌

Pick the one you like the most first, and get the 2nd one when you have enough bullets next round.. if still moves your heart by then…

·

I was stuck in between the Diver 300 and the Black Bay 58, and went with the 58 due to the click sound of the bezel, smaller and thinner case size . Yet, I still see myself with feelings for the Omega. May be we are made to cheat 😂

·

Great choice! The Omega will always have a unique style and history of its own. While to me, with the exception of the Pelagos line and a few other outliers, the Tudor line is just too Rolex adjacent.

·

Two lovely watches. I kinda prefer the Tudor - but it’s a matter of taste. I suspect the build and quality of the SeaMaster is probably superior tho.

I’d be happy with either - but that red bezel 🥰

·

So trying a watch on in the flesh a better yardstick than internet polling? There probably a lesson in all this, but hey, what do I know.

No one would know 🤫😂

This is the realest comment. Why pick one of the two when you can get both if the budget allows! 💪🏽

Did you pull the trigger on the Omega? Any second-thoughts or regrets?

Looking at used ones online. Close to buying.

I'm hugely biased, but there was never any competition in my book.

·

Seamaster easily. Ceramic dial and bezel with wave pattern also skeleton hands imo makes everything way more interesting than the Tudor but like you said the Tudor is still really nice just not at the same level as the Omega.

You should buy it i can confirm it's a great watch 🍻

·

Oh man. Both are beautiful. But seeing them both on your wrist, I would take the Tudor. It pops on your wrist. The omega is great don’t get me wrong…but that red makes the Tudor stand out, while that particular SMP is just part of the crowd

·

The Seamaster looks more like a watch for grownups !

·

Tough choice.. but I endorse your choice 👍

Actually, I do prefer the Seamaster also. There are too many watches out there that look like the Tudor/Rolex Submariner.

·

I know they're both divers, but I find the Seamaster lends itself more to nautical activities than the BB. This is why I put my SM300 on a blue Omega rubber strap and I never hesitate to take it to sea, whereas I wear my BB on the "jubilee" bracelet on casual Fridays or to grab drinks with my buddies. Very different vibe ... You couldn't have gone wrong with either one. Congrats on the purchase. Enjoy!

·

That is a tough one, I love both! But fortunately for you, you have the pleasure of owning both and don’t need to decide. Sheer winners!

So many people talking when they have not seen one and the other side by side like OP did. Having them side by side the diferences are so clear, only the omega can win.

Well, can’t speak for others, but I’ve seen both side by side when I walked into OB with BB41 mk3 on my wrist. I like SMP, but not enough to buy it. I would consider non-date Bond editions, but it’s $9000+ ($7000+ preowned). Titanium NTTD is wonderful but not worth the money.

I love Omega as a brand and Seamaster as a model line. SMP is not the Seamaster for me. I prefer SM300, Raimasters, some aqua terras and most of all the one I’ve recently purchased - 1948.

I understand why others in this thread choose Omega over Tudor. I’d agree except not this time, not with SMP.

Again, that is just my personal opinion. It matters only to me :)

I was cross shopping the black Bay and the sea master heritage and ended up going black Bay. But after trying both I couldn't justify the substantial price increase of the omega

·

Agreed SM

I think Tudor will not only stand out but it will give such pop and color in my collection 😍 I won’t go diving 300m anyway 😂
