Black Bay Burgundy 2023 lug width

The other day I was attempting to fit my 22mm Artem sailcloth strap on my Black Bay. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't force it in there. I got ou...

I have last year's burgundy bezel with both the five link and the rubber and it's a great watch. If I was more of a one watch guy I would be all over the monochrome one. I prefer it's looks to a Sub to be honest. But the burgundy fits in a little better in my collection. I think the size and shape of the case is just about perfect.

I was cross shopping the black Bay and the sea master heritage and ended up going black Bay. But after trying both I couldn't justify the substantial price increase of the omega

I have a wrist >7.5" and often wear a 34mm JLC with a 17mm lug width

I'm somewhere between 7.5-7.75 and I wear things from 34-44mm. My next purchase is going to be a 36mm explorer

I used to take 3 or more depending on how long I would be gone. But I have changed to just taking 2. I wear my Tudor 1926 on Artem Sailcloth. I pack a dressier strap for it. I also pack my Scurfa Diver One. I have the Scurfa if I need a beater, but the 1926 can basically do anything and be totally under the radar while doing it.

commented on Hating Erika strap (unpopular opinion) ·

I've tried Nick Mankey, Watch Steward, and Erika's for elastic straps. The Watch Steward strap lasted about 2 months before the stretch was gone. I really like the Nick Mankey and the fact that it works without the strap under the watch is a plus. They seem well priced for what you get. The downside is they may be too stretchy (at least the originals, I have not tried the newer variation), I can easily take the watch on and off without unfastening it. It also takes a long time to get one because there is a backlog. It's also a little fiddly to use with my FXD. The Erika's is overpriced, but it just works. It's easy to use with my FXD. I haven't had any problems with stretching or fraying in almost daily wear. It is easy to wash and dries quickly when it gets wet. I think I overpaid, but I don't feel ripped off.
