I think this is a sign that I need to buy a new watch ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel Kuoe is getting a lot of traction here in Japan. Putting it on the handle was a great idea for advertising as it will remind you that you need a new one lol

Always loved this from IWC

Yup, that's the proof that the universe needs you to get a new watch. Realistically, there is no way you can't get the new watch. Just do it! Please for the sake of the universe.

Then give your review on WC.

Damn, that's one of the best watch marketing I've ever seen

If you hold on with your non watch arm, then you may need a new watch if someone is stealing your current watch on the train?

Fortunately, those incidents are a rare occurence here. But be ready to bang your luxury watch to other salarymenโ€™s watches during rush hour ๐Ÿ˜‚

And to answer your question, yes, we always need a new watch haha

I actually did Google crime in Japan and even though the crime rate there is lower than a lot of other countries seems theft (more shoplifting) could be on the rise.

Reminded me of the news I read couple of weeks ago where four people got arrested for shoplifting from a clothing store in a span of several years amounting to 135,000 USD in losses. Crazy. But I will still take that over the possibilty of someone hacking your arm just to take your watch.

I never knew that was how you use those straps.

I would just fit my fingers through the loop and grab the straploop.

Same. This is a much better execution than the Kuoe one

I think itโ€™s one way. But the watch picture would make me watch to hold it like in the picture to get a look tho

Like I needed another encouragement to buy a Kuoe. I've been eyeing them for a while, and I love the 34mm dress watch. Plus the price is amazing.

Reminds me a little bit of the Mercedes F1 team printing watches on their gloves for their drivers w/ their IWC sponsorship. A lot of other teams do it now too

I donโ€™t follow F1 but would there be a disadvantage wearing a real one instead?

Maybe this your sign too ๐Ÿ˜‚

Most drivers donโ€™t wear a watch. Doesnโ€™t seem like a lot of weight only a couple of ounces, but every bit of weight matters in F1. Over the course of 60-80 laps or so could add up to a few thousandths or hundredths of a second over the race. But I know some sponsors like Richard Mille will pay their teams enough to have their drivers wear em during the race anyways. So it just depends

Now there's a good question: People who can afford IWC generally prefer luxury in city personal transport too, i. e. a car.

On the other hand, some people buy an IWC and thus can't afford a car. ๐Ÿ˜€

Then there are rich folks who use public transport, which I applaud.

So, who is the ad aimed at?

ยท

I started to write something similar when I shared the pic but decided against it. As a marketing strategist that's exactly where my head went. To be fair, I own one and do get the bus occasionally. But of course the majority of the people who see those ads are unlikely to be in the market for a luxury watch.
