...for my son, who is 6. He's been wearing the Swatch pictured above for 6 months now and loves it. The thing is, he keeps looking at my watches and saying how cool they are because they're metal.
I told him if he took care of the one he has I would buy him another watch, and he's done a good job with that.
So I'm looking for a watch that...
As you can imagine, most kid's watches are plastic (for obvious reasons) and don't have a bracelet. I've been looking at the more sedate women's watches and wondering if the bracelets can be sized down that far.
Any information or help here would be appreciated, I'm not coming up with any great ideas on my own.

Cool! My son is 6 as well and loves spider man… I had him try on my Seiko gmt and he said, “ oh! It’s heavy!, he such a wuss 😂…
any swatch flik flak that he might like? Oops that watch is a swatch ok let me think…actually the gmt isn’t too bad either switch it to a strap or resize it..we’ll all depends on your sons wrist…believe it or not my sons wrist is almost the same size as my older brother…yeah 🤯
Blok are a pretty cool alternative to Flik flaks - proper swiss watches, built with kids in mind, i.e. the bezel that helps them track chunks of time, and work in a way that kids 'get' - I really like Blok's thinking - mechanical watches designed for kids, but also to help kids develop a sense of time and how it flows. https://blokwatches.com/

If it will fit on his wrist, that's about perfect.
Get a woman's Timex with an expansion band.
https://www.amazon.com/Timex-Reader-Womens-Silver-Tone-Stainless/dp/B014622FKU
Or any other plain woman's watch and add the expansion band yourself. There's a 31mm Timex Weekender. You can take "links" out by bending stuff.

Blok watches is brilliant for children but not too much metal though. Maybe look into vintage, much smaller sizes and prices are good and rarer, so he is not going to come across anyone with the same watch. I purchased a Russian mechinical vintage watch for my son who is 12 years old. Its 31mm and fits perfectly. Purchased on chrono24 and he loves it. He double wrists with a fitbit

Okay, this is one of the coolest things I've seen recently.
I was unfamiliar with this brand until you just posted this, but after a little bit of time on their site, I'm absolutely a fan... their mission, branding, and product is great. Love it!
Oops, forgot about the bezel.
There exists a 25mm Invicta Pro-Diver.

Again, I'd go expansion band as those can be shortened to any size.
Have you seen Parchie watches yet? https://parchiepal.com/collections/shop-all (Founded by Cara from Hodinkee)
They don't have metal bracelets but I like that they have aluminum cases (32mm) and rotating bezels :)

I also highly recommend Blok. The creator thoughtfully designed these watches with kids in mind and their packed with kid-friendly features. I bought one for my daughter's birthday in a few weeks. She hasn't seen it yet, but I think she'll love it.

Thanks, the current leader is the Timex Easy Reader, I just wasn't sure about the band. Looks like this will solve that problem.

I had never heard of this brand, thanks. They look interesting, I think he'd like the bezel.
I think these are great…

Invicta and Timex are the best metal watches for kids IMO. If you want an "almost metal" watch the Casio A158 and A171 are small and have a band that can probably be adjusted to a 3" wrist.
That one you posted does look super cute. But I was pretty unimpressed by most kids watches I've held.

I can confirm my a168 can fit both my wrist and my 3 year olds wrist

Yeah, I could benefit from that timer bezel.
I echo the Blok recommendation by everyone. @Fieldwalker has a cool review on this and recent update I just asked him about yesterday.
Yeah, I could benefit from that timer bezel.
Seriously. When they make a 38 series, I'm getting one.
I think it's 32mm, but common 😅 There is always the classic Casio on bracelet if he wants to try digital.
I think the Blok watches would be the pick of the bunch so far, they look cool 💯
If they came out with a metal case 38mm version I'd grab one myself 👍
The guy who mentioned expanding bracelets was right on the money! Just make sure to size it slightly loose because after a few minutes they really feel too tight if they aren't loose. Some Casio models also come with expanding bracelets but I don't remember the model. And Casio is more durable than Timex. You can also get an 18mm expanding bracelet for 5 bucks on AliExpress and just fit it to most small Casios.
