The perfect design.

Finally back on my wrist: the perfect design! Bought it years ago, didn't run anymore after several years of abuse and now completely revised and cleaned! So happy!

And yes, I know I should say the perfect design 'for me', but we both know that's not the truth... This is it. Period.

Absolutely love the 70's vibe!

·

I'm inclined to agree with you! Pretty perfect in every respect!

·

Interesting to see a tonneau case that is not a Vostok.

·

That's really cool, love it 😍

·

Very 70s👍 Great looking piece. Is this the last remaining Accutron in your collection?

·

Wow - looks great!

·

Love it!

·

I think that is a cool watch and you should wear it with pride, but not the perfect design for me.

·

Very cohesive design.

The shape of that day window & font.😍

·

Gorgeous

·

This is what I call “vintage charm”

I love classic American design, from art deco to space inspired futurism.

EDIT: I was watching a video on YT about the evolution of American diner the other day, why they were built like that, what social, economical and other processes were influencing the design language. Very inspiring.

·

If I were to agree with you, then we’d both be wrong.

·

Well, that's certainly amazing 😍

·

It’s definitely an interesting and well executed design. Very much not for me - but all for different shapes and designs beyond the omnipresent basic round shape l!

·

I’ll bite. Why do you believe this is the perfect design?

·

This is a beauty!

·

It is perfect indeed. Congrats and well done for reviving it.😀

·

We’re talking Forbidden Planet here. Very astral traveler. Love it!

I have served many 218s in my time. Love them, there is something magical about the humming sound and then you have to stop and think about the engineering. To come up with the idea of a tuning fork vibrating at a set frequency and how to turn a vibration into moving wheels is incredible. The index wheel is 2.3mm in diameter (or thereabouts) 320 teeth. 320 beats per second. How on earth did they make these wheels?! The tooling was born with the 214 in the 60s. Apparently when Bulova was bought out all that tooling was destroyed..!

I’ll bite. Why do you believe this is the perfect design?

It's not a believe. It's the truth. 😄🙃

Come on; the sector dial, the red second hand, the red mirrored in the date, the font of the day window, the date at six, the day at twelve, the crown at four, champagne dial and dark blue sector. Do I need to go on?

·

Spirit of the Seventies right there.

·

Cool date window

·

I’ve never seen this Buloval Glad you got it back in rotation. Thanks for sharing

·

I love the day window! Very similar dial to the Omega Dynamic!

·

Really cool design and looks great on your wrist! Love how Bulova leans into the tuning fork aesthetic for their watches, makes it more unique than most brands out there
