It's time: finally a new strap on my heritage watch.

This was my grandfather's and father's watch with the old broken strap. I found a nice ostrich leather one with the same yellow gold colour as the case. I thought it was just a gold plated case (no hallmarks), but the strap left some serious marks on the case and no metal to be seen. This mist be some serious gold plating! Going to wear it now, starting this Christmas. Happy holidays everyone!

If the previous strap was original, and the buckle width the same, I'd transfer the buckle over. Mainly putting this up for anyone not knowing that buckles are usually held in place with spring bars too and can be changed as easily as a band.

Nope, no original buckle. Quite a cheap strap...
