Find a watch that you dislike and subtly troll in posts about it. Nothing overt, don't violate a rule. Just throw a little cold water here and there.

(This is terrible advice, but I just spent the weekend arguing about a brand that I am indifferent to.)

It’s always good to move on and find contentment or happiness for some…we have to keep rolling, like the saying goes “ a rolling rock never gets moss” or something of that nature 😁…

i was just wondering too, if i finish with my collection or doesnt plan to buy a new watch for a long time (like now), or finish borrowing all of my friend's watch collection then how should i contribute to watchcrunch and ig? 😂. i guess for now its just commenting and post my old photo collection😢

You have an appreciation for watches that only collectors can catch as an addiction. You may be happy with every piece aka content BUT you can share on other pieces

So not to be the pessimist....but I'll believe it when I see it.

If it is the exit watch for you, I am actually thrilled for you.  This hobby can be unhealthy and I am glad you've found the cure.  I'm sure you'll find plenty to opine on regardless.  See @roberto whose rate of watch accumulation seems geological in timeframe (and man am I jealous).

But I have seen a number of "exit" watches here before.  They don't really seem to stick.  As @thewatchpanther put it, there's always an entry watch.

For most of us, inoculation just isn't in the cards. ☹️

I mean, I don't know about you, but I will always enjoy "ooo"ing and "aaa"ing over other folks' new pick-ups.

Why throw away the bits of straw and leaves in our lives that may be stuffed into our pillows to give us comfort as we sleep through our existence?

Nor should it be thrown in glass houses whilst catching the worm, too many of which would spoil the broth (or along those lines)

You still have experience and knowledge about watches to share with others.  There is always another watch.

There are some moneycitas involved in a potential trade aswell. 1 for 1 would be a VERY good trade for me, but very unfair 😅

I have been contemplating an exit watch. My latest Seamaster may be it for me. So much money and time invested in watches that are not safe to wear "anywhere".

No need to stop being an enthusiast though. Just stop the hunt. It's like getting married but still watching mud wrestling. Totally acceptable, from an enthusiasts point of view.
