What’s your “adventure” watch?

I like doing outdoor activities and have a few select watches I like to use for them. My ideal recreation watch has at least 100M WR, and either a rubber strap or a metal bracelet. I’m very much of the view that “light is right,” so I try to avoid super bulky pieces.

I Would gravitate to the Hammy Field Medchanical...just love it on rubber or Nato!

Steinhart Adventure 🥴

I have quite a few that fit the criteria. From Casio to CW and a few less original designs.

I have this too, it's a great watch.

I have a few I think would qualify, here is one.

Lately i’ve been going for either the Casio Duro or the G-Shock Casioak. Both durable, on rubber/resin bands and also essily replaceable in the case of a misfortune while out and about.

I can also endorse Vaer

Pretty much all of them, but mostly the Casio Pathfinder. Except for the new ones, all my divers have been in Atlantic and Pacific oceans, some of them have gone diving. I used my MoonSwatch for a few days in the jungle.

I'm outdoors every day and my adventure watch is always with me: 16570 black Explorer II

I’ve probably been on the most adventures with this one.

My first micro brand with sapphire crystal, screw down crown, and 100m water resistance. Bought it to wear on vacation with surfing lessons. Managed to scuff a sapphire crystal during those lessons. Pretty sure it’s indestructible, so my adventure go-to.

My adventure watch is also one of my GADA pieces, the Citizen promaster eco-drive on a jubilee bracelet from Long Island Watch. No battery changes needed, 200m WR, and a great piece to either dress up or down.

I have your watch. It's my go to beater! A great piece!

It’s a watch with a lot of capabilities.

Tudor North Flag!

I’m also looking into one with a GMT function. 🤩

This guy - light, legible, quartz, inexpensive and decent water resistance … and wears better for me than G Shocks.

Depends on the location, and what activities will be involved in the adventure. Over the past weekend, I brought my SRPB93 on a silicone strap, as I knew we would be in the sea often.

Otherwise, I bring my Timex Expedition Scout

In the near future, I plan to get the following:

A Vaer, like @ChiefIlliniwek @TheCianinator @NotThatNeil

Image

And a Traska, like @marioap @TheHoroSexual

Great options! I've been looking at Vaer for a long time too!

All my watches, even my dress watches, have seen some outdoor activity

But my gshock takes the cake as it was my only watch for many years and served with me through my time in the army

Currently SeaQ, was my '71 Defy for a few years

Image

Both have been backcountry splitboarding and snowboarding, extended backpacking, have summitted countless 14,000' peaks (Defy has done four class 4 peaks with rock climbing and scaling involved)!

If they update the SeaQ 39.5 with a brushed bracelet and sapphire caseback I think I’d have to pull the trigger

They did update and now do with brushed bracelet. As much as the GO movement would do well with a clear caseback, I'm not mad about it due to the tool-watch intention behind it. ISO 6425 and all 😁

·

Casio G-Shock for any serious outdoor activities such as coasteering or mountain biking or my Longines Hydroconquest for hiking, swimming etc. I did a 3 day hiking/camping trip wearing my 1944 omega field watch once, wouldn’t do it again though!

Thanks for confirming! I had tried to search for this but never saw anything concrete - the website still had the PCL bracelet, and the closest dealer to me is in New York.

Used to be my Ocean 2000

But as it climbs in value, my JDM Prospex "Save The Ocean Great White Shark Edition" Turtle SBDY031 is the current Adventure watch.
