I love it, and I donโt care what the celebrity and Breitling haters say. I have always liked the chronomat and the wife is a huge VB fan. It would make an excellent gift for her and the colors are all well done on a quality time piece. Iโm certain she would wear it every day.
However, 30k is unreal for the gold versions and Iโm quite surprised by the price point of a mid sized Cadillac SUV for an unproven concept.
As a Breitling guy I would describe myself as generally happy.
Not super excited as basically this isnt really for me so not a lot of emotional investment. But
As someone who wishes the brand well and want to see them succeed this is genius. One of Breitlings great weaknesses is that it does quite poorly with 50% of the population. But here, nice watches that tie directly to the core collection AND leverage teh VB brand that is massive with the exact 'women that like slightly masculine cued fashion' set - this is genius.
Looks like yellow gold is returning to centre stage ๐ beautiful watches! Is this specifically for women or unisex...? 36mm is good enough for both...? ๐ค
Not a fan of the VB counterweight on the seconds hand, but I love the Chronomat overall, so what's not to like? The standard steel Chronomat 42 with the blue dial and black sub-registers is probably going to be my next watch.
really - who sells a full gold watch and bracelet for 15k?
Ok maybe I undershot. But if the retail on the Rolex day-date with an additional complication is 35k usd, the three hand breitling seems too high. Not sure about the movement (is it a Kenisi) maybe the list should be in the mid 20s?
FWIW I like the design, have no problem with more generic movements, and I really enjoy your YouTube content. Do you still like your Sinn 105utc? Cheers!

Nah - not a Kenissi, none of the customer Kenissi movements would fit this case (they only make the fat old ones available outside Tudor) - from the specs (24 jewel, 42 hr pr) I'd be guessing 2892/sw300 base.
I like the aesthetic of the new Chronomats with the rouleaux bracelet. Wouldn't buy this particular one for $30K though. So many better alternatives for a yellow gold watch at that price point IMHO.
The watch as such is not bad and has potential but have few serious hesitations/questions:
VB marking on seconds hand, full name twice on case back and on the clasp - simply too much even for heavily endorsed watch project
Movement for 30k watch is simply not god enough ( ETA/Selita based ), don't know why not using B20 Kenissi ( size maybe? ) or smaller one as in BB36
Not sure who this watch is really for
Huge comps in app. 30k range, almost touching full gold Day-Date 36 on presidential bracelet ( 6k diff in this segment is not a strech ). Not saying it is expensive but certainly tough niche market to compete
Due to being limited and VB connection I am sure it will sell out but certainly not to watch enthusiasts
Buying this is a statement - "I could have got a Rolex but chose not to" -I think you'd be surprised how big that market is.
I am surprised that market exists at all to be honest. Do you have any numbers from surveys or something? A necessary condition for that statement to be a thing is that the watch gets recognised as a "non Rolex" by a non-vanishing fraction of observers. I can't imagine that if someone sees a balls out gold watch that the next thought would be, "ah, bullet bracelet, so NOT a Rolex. Nice!" ... probably be more like "haven't seen that Rolex yet, new model?"
If I consciously decide not to wear a Rolex, then that's basically because I don't want to make a statement of any kind. So I won't wear a watch that stands out regardless of brand.
For what it's worth, I don't think it's too expensive relative to the gold watch market. Whether or not gold watches are priced appropriately as a whole is another story altogether.

Wholly Gold Member.
I like solid gold
I'll never be able to afford it
But I like it!
I like it. The price seems way excessive. 15k would feel right

Really plays up on the bracelet look this model have. Looks nice.

Beautiful watch...but at 36mm just too small for my wrist.
My wrists are a little bit larger than Victoria Beckham's whose name this was released under.
Weird that they are releasing it as a Unisex watch with Beckham's endorsement.
If it was 44mm in all rose gold...my wife would be giving me the stinkeye because I'd be laying the money down for it.
Donโt let @JaeBust see this ๐คฃ๐

I think its unisex in that men look at it and say 'yeah, I could do that" (as you have) but that its primary audience is women.
I dont think unisex must mean completely non-gendered.
Hard pass for me. Case design itโs pretty meh.

Progress for Breitlingโฆ I like the 36mm dimension. Gold is always nice, I think. BUT still kinda meh for me ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ

Gorgeous and classy! Not for me, as I like my date at 3 o'clock, but I understand they follow the 6 o'clock trend.
I know that Breitling has this kind of bezel in the past butโฆ this really looks like an Omega Constellation.
Not for me, but I can see the appeal๐ฅ

Thanks, Thomas, for the mention! Not that I have anything against Breitling, but I prefer their more pedestrian models. ๐ฅฐ๐
For a full gold actor at 36mm. I would rather have this one. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐คฉ
I tried on the Chronomat GMT last summer, the bracelet is easily the most comfortable I've ever tried!
I'm sure someone will like it enough to drop that kind of cash ๐คท
It would have to come with a free Lamborghini in order for me to look past the painfully embarrassing VB counterweight.
Too blingy for me.
I like that #breitling but not for me lol.
