Lorier quality control issues.

I was talking to a friend of mine who owns a Lorier, since I've been looking at them recently.

I asked if he liked the quality and quality control of the watches. He then told me that he went through 3 watches with them before he got one that didn't have any issues. He went through a Hyperion with a misaligned bezel, then a Neptune v3 also with a misaligned bezel and then a Falcon with lume debris on the dial. Finally he got a reverse panda from them that he's happy with.

This has obviously scared me away from buying one. What has been your experience with them?

I own two (a Falcon and an Astra) and have had no issues with either. I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

·

Sounds like they made it right? If so, seems like no problem outside the time and inconvenience of shipping back and waiting.

·

It means their customer service is good. If you don't have any problem to return the watch when you have to (i.e. shipping cost), just buy it!

·

No issues with my Lorier Hyperion SII GMT Skyward. That said, I hear that the company stands behind their product and any reported issues get resolved quickly.

·

If you want to feel better (or worse) spend some time on the Rolex forum's. Lots of stories about issues with even the best mass produced watches. It's just something we have to accept unless spending stupid money.

·

Have had no issues with any of mine, Neptune SIII, Falcon SIII, and Hydra SIII.

I also do not take loupes to my watches. But have noticed no alignment things, debris, nor obvious finishing errors.

Keep in mind even though it is a lot of money, for the most part these are $500 US watches, so if your expecting zaratsu, and finishing that holds up to a 400x loupe macro, that's a bit unrealistic.

Those kinds of details cost.

For issues, every person on here and on other places that has had concerns or issues, have had them addressed and sorted.

So this tells me Lorier has good customer service. Not a whole lot of complaints. And even your friend still ended up with one, grievances and issues aside. YMMV.

No issues with my Neptune. I’ve only heard good things about their customer support.

·

The gasket inside the crown of my falcon came loose after 4-5 months but ill still want an astra :)

·
  1. I’m a huge fan

  2. I’m not expecting anything beyond it’s price point (which is also where my Direnzo and Baltic is)

No complaints here. In fact the container that shipped my Hyperion apparently flipped over in transit! It was a bit crazy, but Lauren Ortega (cofounder) personally communicated with me how they would take care of it.

Long story short, I got my Hyperion safe, and the owners (specifically the wife) earned many many stars in my book ⭐️

*met them both, fantastic people!

I've got a Neptune V3 & there are no issues with it

·

Had an issue with my Falcon II that they took care of. No issues with the Neptune III.

·

Have a skyward and a zephyr. They are in perfect condition with no QC issues. I’ve had more issues with luxury watches

·

I have a Neptune IV. No QC issues and the watch is great

·

I got one of the Hydra Series III in their first batch, watch has been flawless

·

No fun. In my personal experience Lorier QC is excellent.

How does the crown feel on your Neptune? Love the watch (as we've discussed) but when I pull mine out to second position it does feel a little flimsy, like I could snap it off easily. Have always wondered if this is specific to mine or just a design flaw. Hows yours?

It’s a $500ish watch and they made it right. I don’t see any issues here. While you can certainly buy cheaper watches, $500 is still a cheaper watch in the big scheme of things.

·

I had a Lorier come with a dent in the case lol. To be fair, Loriers prices are really competitive and the designs are well done, they do a lot right which makes it easier to forgive some qc issues

Ive been wearing my hyperion ii for 4 days how and so far I havent seen any issues. Its in perfect condition. Only issue is i keep taking watch photos of it
