Wedding watch conversation!

Hi! I'm getting married next year and I'd love to pick out a watch to either wear on the wedding day, or to buy on our honeymoon!

I'm kind of all over the place with these ideas. Maybe I'll just buy myself a watch. Maybe I'll buy one for her as well, maybe even a matching one. Maybe I'll just buy her a NOMOS to go with mine. Maybe even a cool clock! Anyone have any fun experiences with wedding watches or matching watches?

Total budget for a watch/watches would be around 5000USD. We prefer similar sizes (34-40mm) but all ideas, conversations and suggestions are welcome!

Two nomos club campuses would be great

I know it’s vanilla but Cartier Tanks. Can be easily engraved to memorialise the occasion.

I would also like to know where I could make that beautiful dream come true 😭😂

Tudor royal are great watches could fall in to your budget

·

I agree with the Nomos Club Campus! Those would be fun watches to wear for your honey moon!

Unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of them. If it was from Tudor I'd go for the 1926, or if I was richer, A black bay diver.

I wore my Grabdfather’s watch. Unless it is a gift from someone to you, I’d save it and buy on the honeymoon or to celebrate an anniversary. Let the wedding shine on its own and don’t put too much into the watch thought. I got my wife a little pair of pear earrings, not to wear at our wedding, but just as a gesture and an inside thing between us. We didn’t exchange wedding gifts perse.

Have fun after picking out a watch stress free, maybe you go some place cool on the honeymoon or anniversary soon after and it marks the trip, your wedding, your love/relationship….

I have always wanted a Nomos and that model is amazing. The red sub second is as complex as any Nomos should be and red always looks stunning on a black dial. I love that watch....ahh , a timeless look in what I call a forever watch. BTW, for the wedding day my friend. I am married 29 years and that day stays with me more than the honeymoon as we have had many great times after, but the wedding day is unique.

·

Just bought a couple of his /hers Marloes. They have a good range of models/sizes so they match while not being exact matches. Didn't want to go the full his n hers clones

·

I’m confused. Typically the bride is supposed to gift the groom a watch for the wedding. Tell her you want a Reverso!

·

I’d go for something more unique for the wedding like a Nomos Tetra . . . Lots of colors and sizes for men and women.

37mm and 33mm:

Go something classic that will never, ever go out of style.

·

Maybe could pick something that you both can wear daily, but this depends on each profession. If not, pick something that worn in special occasions, a good dress watches for example.

·

For a wedding watch yo be with you forever I would do something like this.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface

$5,295

I cannot recommend any specific model but if you both like watches, maybe get two watches that you can swap amongst each other. A ying and a yang? A black and a white? Red and green? Personalised engravings?

I’d also recommend to involve your wife and get her thoughts. Maybe together you can find an approach that knocks it out of the park!

Tudor 1926 in appropriate sizes. 👍

·

I think it's a great idea to get matching (or very similar) watches while on honeymoon. Get them both engraved with the special date or spouses name.

Ah, so technically this is a honeymoon watch, not a wedding watch! LOL :)
