Seiko Brightz?

I like to think of myself as fairly well versed on all things Seiko.

With that said, I realize their catalogue is extensive to say the least.

So, when I saw this guy: (SAGM005/8F32-00L0), a “Seiko Brightz” I was kind of taken aback…as in, where have you been you perfectly sized 38mm Titanium tool watch?

Can the community provide any info on this watch; the line; etc? Honestly, this is the first watch I search for on WC where nothing came up! Thanks in advance and here are some additional shots I stole from the web.

It looks like it’s a model purely for the JDM/ Asian markets, it’s quartz I think.

It’s a great looking watch I love the number layout on the dial, it just goes to show that there are lots of models made specifically for certain countries if the eorld.

It’s a nice looking watch

JDM brand.

Go out there and explore my young one: https://www.watchhunter.org/reference/seiko-watch-catalog-pdf-library

I also leave you with this:

You really did go down the seiko rabbit hole my friend 😂the brightz are in the same level as the prospex and the higher up presage models 👌better quality, have you come across there cocktail time dials yet ❤️look like baby gs.

I love seiko myself and know they have many options and exclusives for other countries, when I was buying my wife valentine's day gifts I came across a certain model I forget the actual number but they call it the "landshark" it's a discontinued model that's supposed to be a workhorse so I will be sure to share

Brightz is a JDM line. Started out as something a bit more upscale than your bog standard Seiko; I blame workplace hierarchy for this.

These days I think Brightz is just one of the Seiko sub lines they spun out to test new design language or market penetration for different age groups/disposable income brackets. That said, if you can find their square models with that B logo, those are quite popular with Seikoholics.

Pictures of some of their more recognizable models.

Yup like others had mentioned already and it’s a JdM models… Sakurawatches.com has some newer models …. Maybe https://tokeimedic.com might have some vintage ones … Good luck and Happy Hunting 🥳

If you want to find out more about relatively unknown Seiko or ever other Japanese watches, go check out jdm_horologist on Instagram. He surprises me with new unknown Seiko models on a weekly basis now.

·

It had come up on my searches. Seems to be a JDM model. Love the size, and the case shape. Are they powered by the 8F caliber?

If so, it would be an outstanding value proposition for a grab and go GADA.

Nah, Seiko is big in Asia so there's more watch clubs that specifically caters to Seiko lovers. Heck, there's even clubs for specific Seiko lines! The picture I used comes from a Singaporean member of a Brightz watch club, that's how deep their Seikoholic passion is.

I recommend following jdm_horologist on Instagram. You will see literally dozens of watches like this one with detailed explanations and awesome pictures.

·

Now I see it! The "B" logo looks like the Bitcoin logo!

·

I had seen this watch on Ebay, curous like you I found out its a JDM line from the early 2000’s not sure until what year the perpetail calander is accuarte too. You can get a some of the new radio control ones on amazon/ebay but they are cheaper in look and cost

·
Watchovski

And now, of course, because “Watchovski” can’t have it…he wants it.

I think you can order via eBay…,.,

Happy hunting
