Tudor Heritage!

C'mon what did you expect from someone whose handle is "ChronoGuy" 😉

·

Grand Seiko!

C’mon what did you expect from someone whose handle is “Omega…” Oh, never mind.

Haha

I've owned the Tudor (and sold it after a couple years) and am probably going to get the Grand Seiko at some point.  I love both.

I don't think you can go too wrong with either.  The Tudor wore a touch big on my wrist (I think 51 mm lug to lug though with female endlinks) but it's pretty fabulous.

Maybe I should buy it again....

·

IMHO the GS is much more timelessly classic while the Tudor is ... of an era.

·

I “pity the fool” who thinks it’s anything other than the GS 221 All Day Every Day

·

Seiko……..

·

That Grano Seiko melts my heart every time I see it!

I'd take the Tudor between the two, GS styling leaves me cold.

For some reason GS reminds me of 90's Sears Wishbook watches... I'm not sure why exactly, but all I see when I see a GS is a 90's mall watch.

·

Tudor is more my speed. Not sure what I would do with that particular GS. Sort of a dress GMT?

I would probably take this over the Tudor, though. Cool GS dial texture, Spring Drive AND a stormtrooper bezel? Winner! 🤣

GS has more soul and is more timeless.

·

Tudor, for the most part, I find too boring.  Basic pelegos and BB are solid decent …and too dull for hair on fire me.  I should mention I’m comparing to the more interesting colorway GSs

·

The GS!

·

better get both !

Grand Seiko for me. The Tudor Heritage chrono was too big when I tried one one. I love my BB58 Blue though

Yeah my wrist is 6.75" and that'll be my concern.   Still need to try one on.  The GS is really nice but I'm looking for a chronograph for my collection.   When the tissot prx chrono comes out I'll have to check it out as well.

My max lug to lug would be 50mm and I think the Tudor is 48mm?

·

Grand Seiko the levels of finishing alone make this an easy choice. that is in no way to disparage Tudor though they are a great brand.

·

Grand Seiko everytime!

·

Very different watches, sport chrono vs dress is as much of a difference as brands here. However, looking at them almost head to head (there were ADs for the two brands within a couple miles of each other where I used to live), I’ve chosen GS over Tudor 3 times, so kinda biased.

Tudor is quickly becoming the Ferrari Dino of Rolex.  GS is the rising star! All day long GS! Only 3 companies are moving ahead in movements and cases GS/Omega/Zenith any of the three are next level Spring Drive is beyond

Also Tudor is crazy tough to get in my area, well at least for the popular models.  I called my AD today and they don't even carry this tudor heritage chrono on bracelet but what's weird is that they have the nato one.  I also asked about the bb chrono white dial, bb58 blue and the new bb 39mm s&g with the T-Fit clasp and none were available :( I really hope Tudor availablility isn't going Rolex way.

Did you ask the AD if they could order you the bracelet?

I purchased mine in Tourneau right before the pandemic. They only had the NATO in stock. I was able to get a small discount and have them order the bracelet and throw in the NATO as an extra. Probably can't get that deal today, but they should still be able to order the bracelet for you.

I don't think these Heritage Chronos are hot like the BB58s. They should be available.

·

Honestly, they both gets my vote. I love the limited edition Tudor even though it is an ETA based movement. And I also love the GS dial layout and overall look! I would get both if I could afford it.

Love those dial textures from Grand Seiko. I love my pink SBGA413. They even have a blue JDM version and a white version and grey too. I want them all!!

I have this particular Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue, and it is such a unique watch. If you like, colorful dials and straps this watch is for you. When worn with its Jacquard style strap, it’s just retro cool.  Don’t get me wrong- I love the Grand Seiko, as well, I even own two myself, but this particular model doesn’t jive with me like my SBGA413 or SLGH005. While the creamy dial of this particular model is sophisticated and classy, it doesn’t excite me like the more textured dials that GS produces.
