I likely would refrain from using them in the ocean, as they tend not to play nice with salt water and they only have 50m of water resistance. Your mileage may vary, however, I'd be wary about it personally.
The finish, aside from the stainless steel back, is prone to pitting. As such, I clean all mine with a microfiber cloth to remove any sweat or oils that may have been left from wearing. I have learned this the hard way!

So much watch for so little money! Yes, you have to give a Timex extra love since most of them aren't made of stainless steel, but they are phenomenal value for money and have a charm all their own. I have a 51 year old Marlin that has never been serviced and still works!
