Timex Viscount...love the watch, the band, not so much. Help?
Found this gem and had to buy it! Gorgeous and keeping amazing time!
That said, I am not a fan of the band. Looking for a more traditional one. Color is fine, but not the style or the pattern.
The lug width is 19mm and those bands are relatively easy to come by. That said, the outer lug width is 27mm. I have never liked it when the lugs stick out further than the band.
Any thoughts on where to go to find a band I would like, short of having a custom one made?

This is a tough one. Specially because I like the bun strap that on there.

Your best bet would probably be to get a bracelet with flared ends. Lots of bracelets made during the 70's were in that style. I just recently got one such from eBay for one of my vintage Seikos. The lug width is 19mm, but the ends flare out to about 21mm before tapering back down. As you can see, the bracelet flows really nicely with the contours of the watch.

I think I literally just entered "flared watch bracelet" in the search bar and browsed through the listings from there.
The seller I bought from goes by the name of timesofplenty. They have a mind boggling selection of vintage bracelets in their shop. Hopefully there's something that fits your criteria.
