How often do you change straps?

If I could only have one strap for this bb36 I would pick the bracelet everyday! Good thing I can pick whichever strap I like. Today was a leather strap kinda day but I usually keep it on the bracelet

I switch straps all the time. Makes the same watch feel new with just a change of the strap. I have so many straps it’s crazy. I might have a problem.

·

Anytime I am considering on buying a new watch… so often 😂

·

Usually change a strap every few weeks or so, they all looks and feel different so usually just because I feel like a change.

·

I switch straps often (probably every other time I wear a watch) which is why I prefer quick release straps (even for bracelets if I can find them). Heck, I even use quick release springbars for all my NATOs. Basically, my other hobby is collecting straps.

·

If it's on rotation, it will always go on a different strap every time.

·

Often! It’s part of the fun. 😉

Me too, apparently. Yeesh. What a hobby!

I do quite often. It’s therapeutic for me 😁 Too me it’s like I’m wearing a different watch. I recently changed out several metal bands to leather, rubber, nato, silicone and clasp. I have even bought watches before, at flea market/garage sales, just for their strap/band to put on another watch.

Sometimes can be multiple times a day on the same watch 🤯, sometimes can be weeks! No reason behind it 😂

·

I change straps once a week.

·

I change the strap almost everytime I get a watch out of the box.

·

I have a Tudor GMT, thick and heavy, never use the bracelet, only straps, leather mostly but if I’m going swimming then a rubber or nylon strap.

It’s definitely the heaviest of my watches.

I have mostly quick change straps so I’m changing straps quite often.

Not that often. When I find a strap I’m pleased with it usually stays on for a while. Until I need a change or find something ”better”.

·

I change straps out quite a bit. I like to wear watches on nato straps in the summer and then leather and on bracelet when it cools down outside.

·

I’ll usually wear a watch 2-4 times on one strap, then change it to another. With 5 watches getting the majority of my wrist time they all get swapped once or twice a month

·

If I don't like the strap that it comes with, then I find a strap for it that I like / that looks good. Then, once that strap is on, it's on to stay. The only way I'd change it at that point is if it somehow became damaged.

I keep my extra straps separated by size, color and material. This gives me an easy fix when I'm wanting a fresh look without springing for a new watch.

I can pull out a ziplock of black leather straps to dress up a piece or a baggie of nylon Nato's for adventure day.

Nothing imo maximizes the use of watches one already owns like alternative bands and straps. It can also be a lot of fun geeking out on the mixing and matching.

I gotta try that with my spare straps. I just keep them all in one box.

What is that tool in the photo?

I’m sure it has a more official name but it’s a spring bar tool that allows you to pinch both sides of the bar at the same time. Very useful for removing the spring bar on brackets.

I usually swap strap and bracelet once a week or so

I thought that i am the sick one, but now I see that I am not alone. Thanks, all of you.

Ps beutiful watch.

Pps where can i find that tool for changing straps?

·

I never change straps on my watch. Even on my Dan Henry 1964 that came with an additional leather strap. Its just too much of an headache.

All. The. Time.

I’m currently posting a series of straps I got (really cheap) for my Glycine Combat Sub. As one commented, “Do we play Barbie or GI-Joe and dress up our watches in different outfits now?” A: Yes. Absolutely. 😉

I always leave my BB36 on the bracelet but other watches I swap as and when I feel like it or to match a particular outfit

Same here. Bracelet it too dang good to take it off.

Granted all my watches stay on their bracelets 99.9% of the time 😂
