Brave post mate, thank you for sharing and I hope it helped as you had hoped. My observation is that everyone has some form of addiction, some just more or less severe, more or less socially acceptable. It can be difficult because those feelings are always there, sometimes further sometimes closer to the surface but recognising it for what it is and acknowledging and living with it helps. There are tools and methods to manage these things too, and I find like some others have said that a good workout sets me up well for the day, whatever it brings.
There is an understanding and supportive community here so good on you for reaching out, best of luck.
