Mesh or leather -- maybe saffiano or chevre. I know you said you have a disdain for steel but the milanese is a great alternative. It hugs the wrist like leather with the looks of steel.

Yeah a navy or dark brown ostrich or snake may be on point.

Here's another option for you:

Black on black absolutely rocks. I would've kept this look but my Tudor Small Rose rocks the black strap even better given the bigger 34mm case diameter

I suggest suede! You'll be impressed for how good it looks, especially with the black dial!

General for all my collection.i have about 15 with metal straps but I don’t favour them.most if my pieces I swap them out for something light and soft

I haven't seen or heard of any but I think a custom fitted sailcloth strap would look great on it.
